Dr. Peter John Schubart, MD

This review is regarding Rebecca, one of the staff at Dr. Schubart’s office. I had an extremely painful experience with her regarding referral document that should not have been this complicated today. I was referred to Dr. Schubart from my family doctor to see as the specialist for my aortic dissection. I had a confirmed doctor appointment with Dr. Schubart made a couple of weeks ago with Rebecca telling me to request my latest CT Scan to be sent to me and bring it to Dr. Schubart on my appointment date. I had already received approval from my employer to see Dr. Schubart and received my latest CT scan ready to go, but Rebecca called me this morning to tell me that she did not received any referral documents from my family doctor’s office after calling them twice to request them and if she does not receive them, she will cancel my appointment for Monday afternoon. She wants me to contact my doctor’s office to request the documentation without providing me her fax or phone number.… I contacted my family doctor’s office, which told me that they tried multiple times to fax the referral documents to Rebecca. They said that they will contact Rebecca regarding this matter. My family doctor’s office later called me and told me that they have reached Rebecca and faxed the documents, but, Rebecca says that she did not receive the referral documents and she will have to cancel my doctor appointment if she does not receive them. My family doctor and staff were very upset with her. Anyways, after this troubling day, the end result was that my wife picked up the referral documents and we will bring it and the CT Scan CD to Rebecca on Monday afternoon when I see Dr. Schubart. I had to call Rebecca back to tell her this and not to cancel my appointment. She told me that she wants me to come in 15 minutes earlier to bring the referral documents and CT Scan CD to Dr. Schubart for review. She did not apologize for any inconveniences or troubles caused today.
