My daughter was one of Dr. Shaw's patients when he was at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. We were living in NC when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma when she was 22. The doctors in NC did not diagnose her immediately so she was in an advanced stage when she was finally diagnosed. The care she received from Dr. Shaw was first class from start to finish. So far there has been no recurrence and she is in her 4th year of being cancer free. From our first meeting he was able to put our fears at rest and told us "don't worry, I got this" and he did. I am thankful that he was available to us and he was there to help my daughter get better. He and the staff at Children's were awesome!!

Dr. Shaw has been outstanding since the first appointment our daughter had with him. He was always so personable with her, and talked directly to her, not just us. He made sure she understood everything he was telling her. We were very sad to learn that he was leaving Children's of Pittsburgh and going to St. Petersburg....but, we wish him nothing but the very best. We hope he can help children in Florida like he did with our Abbey. He made the whole process so smooth-in what should have been an otherwise bumpy ride! God bless, and we will always be thankful for all that you did for her, Dr. Shaw!

I would recommend all patients have a doctor like Dr Peter Shaw. He treats my daughter like his own and you feel like he has known you a long time and you may have just met.

Wonderful, caring, and easily accessible doctor who is the hematologist for all my children. I would strongly recommend.

Dr. shaw is a great dr. He realy cares what we have to say when we are there. I trust him with my child and her cancer. My 9 year old loves him and his staff.He takes the time to get down to her laevel and love to joke with her. Witch can meen the world to a child when faced with tuff things that lay ahead.
