There are few good doctors but this one was the worst. He does not care about his patients. Only $$$. There are other doctors who are much (way) better than him. Ease of appointment but guess why it is...

From phone operator to nurses to doctor, i am so disappointed. Wrong ultrasound information to rude nurses to no bedside manner doctor. Horrible experience. Doctor orders unnecessary iv treatment with antibiotic and extra blood works without discussing with patient. He spends so little time with me ( new patient) to find out what is wrong but spends more time talking to someone about medical refrigerator that was in the iv treatment room. At the end of the visit, my fee was almost triple of original quoted price. Then, the office wants me to come back to hear the test results instead of calling to let me know the test results as doctor promised. I have been to many doctors from Cedars Sinai to Torrance Memorial Hospitals to many local doctors. I have to say, he was the worst. I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND using his service!!

Dr. Shin has made hurtful comments to me. His assistant, Sandy, refuses to wear gloves when drawing blood or administering shots. She used an aggressive and rude tone with me when I asked her to do so, and she refused. When Sandy washes her hands, she does not use soap or wash for 20 seconds leaving her hands contaminated.

I have been a patient of Dr. Shin since his office in Torrance opened over 24 years ago. I went to see him after having major surgery from another doctor, and Dr. Shin said, "You must be bad for that to have happened to you." His nurse, who draws blood, refuses to wear gloves and, she bruised the entire front of my hand and wrist, and the back of my wrist when she pulled off the tape and needle at the same time. My hand and wrist immediately turned purple. I told Dr. Shin what she had done, and he said there was nothing he could do about it. I told him, "He had to treat my hand and wrist." He had another nurse to give me a treatment that involved an electric tool that treated my hand with cold and a massage. Dr. Shin showed no compassion for my pain and injury his nurse caused me. Now that his business has grown, it has become mainly Korean with very few patients of other ethnicities, who was the majority of his patients when he opened. I wonder if he is being rude and… uncaring to rid himself of his non Korean patients. He has been rude the last two times I visited him.

he and the office only appear to care about money and NOT about the patient at ALL. they will leave you waiting forever, as if only their time is important and yours is not. they will give you the run around, they are RUDE, unprofessional and OVERpriced on top of it. don't go!!
