I chose my medical specialty (gastroenterology) because I have a sincere interest in the care of medical patients. Gastroenterology provides a challenging subspecialty with great opportunities to promote wellness, treat illness and to offer compassionate care.

My areas of emphasis includes colon cancer prevention, treatment of chronic liver disorders and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. I am also fully trained in a wide variety of endoscopic techniques, including colonoscopy, gastroscopy and endoscopic techniques for the placement of jejunostomy tubes.

My credentials include board certification in gastroenterology/hepatology and internal medicine.

I can't say enough about Dr Stanko. I was having some GI issues that I thought might have been from extended RX NSAID use. He ran some tests as well did some imagining. We discovered I had 2 very high liver enzymes (Not life threatening but a bit alarming). We talked about some various ways that could possibly help. I now go every 6 mo for a blood draw. My last 1, 1 enzyme is now in normal range and the other is within 15 points but is going down. He is up front and to the point and will be honest about your situation and how to fix it.

Dr. Stanko was informative and thorough in explaining any procedure before and afterwards. He answered any questions I had very open forthrightly. I trust him and believe that he care about his patients. His staff was also very professional and kind.

This is a horrible person. He charged me twice for one procedure. While he was professional at the time he is in the end a crook. My condition has not been addressed and I keep getting bills. Dr Stanko and Prevea are the definition of what is wrong with healthcare. The world would be a better place without them. One star is too many.

Great caring doctor who tells the truth, but cares for you. No sugar coating with him, but polite. Not just acting out the day for the mighty buck. Call him and he is Jonny on the spot working for you
