Dr. Peter Gerard Teichman, MD

I would literally give this guy zero stars if I could. Barely spends sny time with you and shows zero interest in satisfying your healthcare needs. He won't do what you want, only what he deems as necessary, which is woefully inadequate. I strongly recommend practically ANY other doc. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this guy, as he could not care less about you.

I’m very impressed with Dr. Peter Teichman. He listens well and he has deep knowledge across a wide range of medicine. He also takes a balanced approach to health concerns, meaning that he wants to address health issues with lifestyle changes when possible, but will prescribe medicines when truly needed. In addition, he is very knowledgeable in dermatology, which is important for many of us as we get older.

Peter Teichman was condescending, inappropriate, did not listen or ‘see’ the patient as they were. Patient went away feeling humiliation, shame and confusion. Diagnosis was not correct or even attempted by this doctor.

Did not conduct a thorough exam, asked rude and personal questions, even entered incorrect physicians notes.

Dr. Teichman Has a great Dr's manner and very friendly. I was on a sleeping med for about 3 or 4 years before I came to Dr. Teichman. He continued the prescription the first year and a half. I told him I had tried several other sleeping meds that didn't work at all and this medicine barely worked half the time. I don't think he listened as after an annual visit his staff called me and said there is a new directive that I needed to try another med before he could complete the prescription. I called the pharmacy and they informed me my Dr. just needed to add instructions to then prescription. There was no new memo. I coupled that with him not wanting to give me any blood tests saying I had no symptoms. Sooo, I lost confidence in him as I feel he was not truthful and if his policy was to wait till I'm symptomatic before he gives me a blood test, well I think that speaks for itself. My new Dr. could not believe I had been over two years with no blood test. I was 73 at the time,… (last year) and common sense should prevail.

I think God every day for sending me to Dr. Peter Teichman. Not only is he one of most wonderful people I have ever met, but he is a great doctor. He saved my life. I was diagnosed with cancer by a emergency room doctor and told to see specialist a once. After calling everywhere within 100 miles I couldn't get in for at least 90 days. I got into see Dr. Teichman and he got me an appointment within 2 days. This started surgeries, chemo etc etc. etc. Dr. Teichman has been with me though all of this. He is my angel.

I fired this doctor after two sessions. He has weird philosophy on medicine and is very blunt and opinionated.

Dr Teichman is a great doctor and human being. He has a gift to explain medical conditions that make it easy to understand. He is a good listener and has a good sense of humor.

Didn't feel like Dr. Teichman believed I knew my own body. I had 2 blood pressure tests taken by the doctor before he gave me a prescription for blood pressure medicine. When I went home I decided to take my own and it was 120 over 62 which is pretty good for a 63 year old. The medication had a lot of bad side effects so I was making sure before I started taking this med. 2 blood pressure tests at the doctors office is not enough information to have someone taking such a strong medication. I would not recommend this Doctor, Sorry.
