Insisted on doing an unecessary procedure (kidney stone blasting with shock waves) during the midst of the COVID outbreak even though stone was not blocking or causing any problems and CDC said no surgeries of this type should be done. VERY RISKY AND UNPROFESSIONAL

Money hungry, brought my father, recommended unnecessary procedures and surgery for a stone that was NONOBSTUCTING and “punctate” as outlined on the radiology report. Complications ensued, his partners were of no help. Quickly transferred dads care to another urologist at Palos where he received more compassionate and sensible care. Stay away

…and lied about it Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion with a real robotic surgeon

Staff was awesome. Doctor was awesome. He helped me through a tough time in my life.

Not sure what some of these reviews are about. He is fantastic and a great caring doctor. He has taken care of me and my father with great care. He is quite busy but well worth the wait!!!!

Dr. Teck told me he was going to only remove a small cancerous part of my kidney robotically and ended up removing my entire kidney through a much larger incizion…he’s “not sure” what happend

He took care of my kidney stones and is a fantastic doc.

I had a great experience with Dr. Tek and his team. He took his time with me and answered all my questions. I would not hesitate to send my family to him.

Does anyone else think it’s odd that every bad review is immediately followed by 3-5 “excellent” reviews? It’s almost seems as though the doctor or his team are checking these daily and updating as many times as possible to keep the star rating up. I met Dr. Tek at St. Joseph through the emergency room for a kidney stone that his resident first suggested removal with a camera as it was small and already in the tube. Dr. Tek later suggested that shock lithotripzy was a “better option” rather than simply getting it out. I trusted him and well now after my third unsuccessful surgery I finally saw another urologist my PCP referred me to at Dupage who recommended just getting it out with a camera which is what Dr. Tek’s resident doctor first suggested before Dr. Tek determined otherwise likely due to some other financial motive. I’ve lost considerable time, money, sleep and aggravation over this unfortunate episode and poor communication and skill of Dr. Tek
