My father has been a patient of Dr. Tortora for many years. He has been very thoughtful and collaborative.

An unacceptable dismissive attitude towards his off-hours call-in patients. Dr Tortora did not call us back for 75 minutes - during which I called the office 3 times, while my partner was in pain, had a full panic attack, and finally induced vomiting via a method we found on the internet involving salt water and waiting 30 minutes. He had a bone lodged in his throat. When I finally spoke to him, Dr Tortora was curt and rude - he interrupted me several times, clearly impatient with our needs. His recommendation was to call an Otolaryngologist and he absolutely refused to give me any further advice on how to monitor my partner's condition. I'm so disappointed by the lack of decorum during a pandemic that is prohibiting office visits.

Dr Tortora is a terrific, caring doctor!!

I would never recommend this Caribbean educated doctor to anyone. He has yelled at me as well as my elder parent. If you wish to pay his "concierge" fee you'll get better treatment. My elder parent who has more money than he could ever dream of won't pay his concierge fee. So they wait for an hour and 45 minutes to see him. quite the hack. He has a degree from Ross University in Dominica. Apparently he couldn't get into American schools.

The office is dingy. The staff is surly. There are much better practitioners in the area.

Dr. Tortura offers a concierge service for those who wish a higher level of engagement with him, but I've found it completely unnecessary. I see him once a year. Our appointments take about 45 minutes, during which he grills me about my exercise and eating habits, sources of stress and relaxation, family situation, etc. Over the past 12 years I've needed to undergo three surgeries, and Dr. Tortura has always recommended like-minded surgeons, and he has always followed up before and immediately after those surgeries to make sure I'm doing well.

Dr Tortora is my primary physician. He is easy to talk to, and helped me find the right specialists to detect cardiac sarcoidosis, leading to a heart transplant.

He saved my life!
