Dr. Peter Smith Turk

Dr. Peter Turk is the best of the best. His clinical and surgical skills are up to date, top notch and his persona is characterised by exceptional kindness and compassion. He excels at communication in a one to one understandable way and conveys such reassurance that the patient has every confidence in a positive outcome. His office is immaculate and the office staff, his PAs and hospital nurses and staff reflect his wonderful manner all around. You cant do better anywhere.

He is the best Doctor! God sent, very caring have a deep connection with the patient. He was my second opinion, and I am Glad God Blessed me to meet him. He was concerned about how I felt as a patient.

Dr.Peter Turk is a true blessing from God. He is the most kind and caring surgeon that I have been treated by.

I have never left a bad review for a doctor. This is my first time and I feel the need to let others know. I was referred to Dr. Turk to get a lump in my breast removed. He told me that he doesn't want to surgically remove it without giving me a reason, instead he ordered an MRI, even though I had already a diagnostic mammogram and biopsy done. I told him that I can only get this done if it is covered by my insurance. He assured me that his staff will make sure first that I am, before sending me over to the hospital to get this done. As a lady called me to schedule an appointment, I asked again if I am covered and she also told me that my insurance approved it. Anyways, weeks later after my MRI, I got a bill of $2500 to pay out of my own pocket. I was shocked , this put a huge financial burden on me! I fought for months to get this bill at least reduced without any success. I was desperate and called Dr. Turks office. I left a message asking him to give me a call back. He called me… back that night at 8pm and as soon as he heard that it was regarding the MRI bill, he started YELLING at me!! I have never ever experienced that before!! WHICH doctor treats his patients like that? He yelled at me that it is 8pm and he had a long day at work and no interest to talk about a bill. I told him that first of all he is very rude to his patient and second I never asked him to call me back at night. If he had such a long day and was tired, he could have called me back the next day. By now, the lump in my breast got bigger and the lymphs in my armpit are swollen. I got referred to a different surgeon now. If this turns out to be cancer, I am going to sue Dr. Turk! He refused to surgically remove it and thanks to him I had for months lots of stress with this bill . In addition, I got a huge financial burden now. I will NOT to ANYONE recommend this doctor!

Dr. Turk has a pleasant and caring bedside manner. He is not pushy and respected my wishes.

Dr. Turk very friendly before surgery....after surgery he was not and rude...made me feel bad. It was sad because I liked him at first. My daughter is an RN and worked with some of his patients and they told her that they had very similar experiences to mine....so, I am not alone....my advice would to do your research before going to him.

I am grateful that Dr. Turk took out my cancer. My experience was very difficult. His bedside manner-- though he is kind- is terrible. When asked too many questions, he walked out of the room and didn't come back. He sent a nurse back in. The last time I saw him, he had no idea he had operated on me twice, asked me about hormone treatment I didn't need and was obviously too preoccupied to sit and take the time to even look at my chart. I didn't realize how bad it really was until I went to my first radiation treatment when the doctor was amazing!!! I would hope no other women would have to go through this experience and the extra stress of a doctor who chose not to take the time to make you feel important by listening and knowing your situation.

I wish I had known about Dr. Turk when I was first diagnosed with breast cancer. I was referred to another surgeon by my gynecologist who said the referred surgeon was the best. NO WAY !!! Dr. Turk took over after 2 very serious mistakes by the referred surgeon. Dr. Turk was absolutely THE BEST !! Bedside manner that can not compare to any Dr. I've ever had. He truly is the best in Charlotte for sure. He gets 10 stars from me !!
