Dr. Peter Samuel Vasiu, DO

I am totally pleased with this office and Dr. Peter Vasiu. He is very thorough and analyzed my whole situation as i have multiple pain issues. I decided to go with the surgical option and his team was so kind and amazing. The nurses were also amazing at the surgical center. They helped me get dressed in a careful way. The anesthesiologist was also a great listener. Dr. Vasiu is full of positive energy, professionalism and confidence. He is direct and made me feel I was in good hands as I have tons of anxiety daily. So grateful I found this place.

Although I believe he is a good doctor, if you have any litigation going on, don't see this Dr. He does not like lawyers and when he found out I hired one his attitude changed. My final visit I complained about pain in around my meniscus and he kind of blew it off as a vague pain in the knee area. Well, I got a second opinion and an MRI and sure enough I had two torn menisci and out-patient surgery.

My experience with Dr. Vasiu. He did miniscus repair on my left knee and it went great, quick recovery and no problems. About a year later he did the same on my right knee and it didn't go well. Long recovery, it never did feel great, and I developed a Baker cyst behind it which came and went. About a year later I needed a partial replacement on that knee, which Dr. Vasiu did. It seemed to go OK at first, but within a few months I had a lot of pain and swelling. Dr. Vasiu came up with several reasons and treatments, none of which worked. I finally became convinced the implant was coming loose but Dr. Vasiu assured me that was not the case and came up with other reasons and treatments that quite frankly became ridiculous. The pain became so bad I finally had another doctor fix it with a revision surgery and it was in fact very loose. Two years later, my knee works okay but is very stiff and painful if I try to bend it too much and I feel it's because of the damage done by Dr.… Vasiu. He refused to listen to me and charged me copays for all of those office visits while he misdiagnosed my knee which cost me quite a bit of money I would not recommend him to anyone.

I finally experienced a surgery that worked! Dr.Vasiu is very knowledgeable and explains everything very well so you understand. So glad I decided to go to GR and not allow Muskegon Orthapedic doctors to touch me again. I will definitely be going back to GR Orthopedic if the need arises.

Dr. Vasiu is great, he has done both mine and my Daughters shoulder repair. Quick to get you in and very little wait time in the office. He also makes sure you understand and are comfortable with whats going on. Like the title says we will not go see anyone else.

Not only did I receive top notch expertise that led to a recovery process that would otherwise have been much longer; the communication, follow up and overall office environment was above excellent. Dr. Vasiu with Grand Rapids Orthopedics is who I would recommend above any other.

great doctor. Did my knee.

I have had a couple accidents with my knees. Dr. Vasiu has been great! He has fixed both my knees now. Another surgeon had worked on my left knee before and it never felt good. Dr. Vasiu fixed my left knee and it feels like new. He does a great job at taking the time to explain the problem and the best way to fix it. His staff is friendly and helpful. I don't believe you could find a better Surgon or Staff.
