Did a great job on my aortic valve replacement

I am elated with my results I received from my surgery with Dr. Waltz

Dr. Walts performed open heart surgery on me on Aug. 12, 2014 with four bypasses and a mitral valve repair. He saved my life, pure and simple, and I'm still here to talk about it one year later. I'm doing everything I can to improve my health. I owe him a deep debt of gratitude that I can truly never repay.

I was out of options and in extreme pain and had TMR by Dr Walts. He was a very warm, kind and caring doctor. My life is much better after the surgery. I was going nowhere other than spiralling downwards to eventual death. My angina pain is not gone but is much more manageable. Prior to surgery it was raging pain and I could not do anything at all. Dr Walts and the nurses especially Lisa spend plenty of time answering your questions and concerns. All surgery is risky. I'll never be cured but I feel I have a better quality of life. I was out of options and Dr Walts helped me. I can't thank him enough.

Be sure to ask the doctor about ALL of the possibilities of negative effects during the surgery, If you are having a "Port Access" procedure, ask about the possibilty of severing the Phrenic Nerve and what the results will be should that happen. Ask every question you can think of PRIOR TO the surgery. Should you decide to use this doctor, ask for all hospital records, surgery records and get the doctors office records on your case - you may need them. Should you have an issue with the Phrenic Nerve I hope it is not a severe as mine. I went from Dr. Walts assurance that my breathing and life would be better after heart valve replacement to my current life of requiring oxygen 100% of the time. My breathing was not good prior to the surgery but is MUCH worse since the surgery. After the first follow-up visit he was pretty much done with me as well. SOOOOOO sorry I ever met this man.Good luck!
