Dr. Peter John Winkle, MD

I had an appointment with this physician for my distressful symptoms of gas, diarrhea and bloating due to a serious gastrointestinal irritation. Dr. Winkle poked fun of my other chronic pain condition and labeled me with a mental health issue. This physician was rude, laughing at me while he was taking personal calls while during my office appointment. As a patient, I was not at all impressed with his poor demeanor. Dr. Winkle didn't take the time to address all of my health concerns which made me having me to seek assistance from another gastrointestinal specialist.

Excellent experience with AGMG and Dr Winkle. My appointment was easy to make and I received a text to remind me the day before. The office was decent and the endoscopsy center was small but efficient. All the staff was attentive and Dr. Winkle, who i saw in office and for colonoscopy, was friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend their services to a friend or family member.

I called multiple times just tinted to schedule an appt and each time I was told the second the pick up phone and cut you off that there are "1 or 2 or 3 calls ahead of you" and then placed on hold FOREVER despite that I have a job and can't hold forever while I am working-but when else can we call? So hire more ppl to answer your phones! Then of course I'm told next avail is weeks away despite the website stating there's an opening tmrw so I asked about the other doctor and was told they both have exact same availability. How is that even possible if they have different appts? Not helpful at all and felt like after I've been holding forever she then wanted to rush me off the phone so I'm already irritated before I've even entered the office. Forget it-I will look elsewhere. Clearly don't waste your time as it won't be valued. Not a good way to recruit new patients at all

I saw DR Peter Winkle as a referral to review a medical problem I needed to follow up on. My experience was positive. I was seen promptly. Dr Winkle spent a good deal of time with me going over my medical issues and even called another DR in to check me . He went over prior tests and reports giving me his opinion and advice then a follow up procedure was scheduled to check the status of my problem. His office staff was courtsous and very helpful. I have nothing negative to report. The entire visit went very well and I found everyone concerned to be very professional in their approach yet friendly at the same time.

This was my first colonoscopy & naturally, I was pretty anxious, but from the orientation to the follow-up, the entire process was "pleasantly surprising" due to Dr. Winkle & the entire staff at the Associated Gastroenterology Medical Group. I would highly recommend their services & professionalism to friends & collegues alike. Thank you.

I saw Dr. Winkle in the Anaheim office. Despite a busy office, he is focused and gave me his undivided attention. He is a very good clinician, to the point and gets right to the root of the problem(s). He ordered the abdominal ultrasound I needed immediately and it was done in the next 2 days. I am very happy with him and I have recommended him to a few other friends. All of them are equally happy with his superior patient care.

Dr.Winkle is an excellent Gastroenterologist who saw me in his office and did my procedures. His quality of care was outstanding and "bedside manner" was friendly and comforting. I have recommended friends to him.

Dr. Winkle communicated clearly and concisely. He provided easy to understand explanations and referred to a good website for his medical group. I enjoyed seeing a procedure being done before I had one.
