Brodak told me I had prostate Cancer that spread to the bone. Told me my co pat was 1000.00 for 2 shots to be given at once. He would not take payments and told me to come back when I had the $. God Awful person. So go to UCSD or the VA,

Dr Phillip Brodak is my urologist 21 years ago since then I haven't seen him after my surgery. He get rid my stone. Crams patients into schedule--long wait times, short interface times. Spends large percentage of time his with you typing into his computer. You don't have a feeling that he thinks about your case very much. Nursing staff does not return phone calls.

Dr Brodak is the first urologist that not only treated my kidney stones but cared enough to test and put me on medication to prevent future stones from forming. It has been about 2 years and life is wonderful without the pain and worry of more attacks.

Although I liked Dr. Brodak personally, I have had nothing but problems trying to get in touch with his office. He left me w/ the impression that I could have bladdar cancer so you would think they would do everything possible to expedite my care and alieve my concerns!! I have called at least 6 times and have never reached a person, only a machine. The call backs are between 3 days and an entire week later. I have lab reports and x-rays that noone called me to give me a report on. I get the feeling that I am not important because I am self pay!I waited in his packed out waiting room for over an hour on my first visit and his, very curt and seemingly overwhelmed, front office girl told me, emphatically, that I would need to pay $200 cash for that visit though it would be more than that but she didn't know how much. She repeated the part about the paying $200 that day, to make sure I understood that BEFORE the doctor came in. I felt like she was saying that if you don't have the… money, you need to leave before you waste a minute of the doctor's time. I am looking for a new urologist.

While the wait was longer than anticipated, to be fair, this was the first visit, requiring extra time to fill out forms. I feel confident the follow up visit wait time will be much shorter.The office staff was helpful, the nurses and assistants were courteous and knowledgeable and the doctor was amazing, making me feel at ease about my medical condition and treatment. I would recommend this doctor to my friends and family!

I was satisfied with the quality job Dr. Brodak does. He saved both my life and my husbands, and we are so greatful. Even though Dr. Phil is like family to me now, he still maintains a level of superior professionalism about him, and I recommend him to all my friends and family who are experiencing bladder or prostate problems.
