Dr. Philip Mark Cacchione, DO

Set up an appointment online through UPMC app. Called to confirm the appointment a few days later for my husband and myself and sat on hold for 7 minutes. Another person got on the phone and said the Dr is not accepting new patients when the UPMC app clearly states that he is and takes my insurance. I contacted UPMC and they stated the same. Pretty prejudice if you ask me because I'm sure they're basing it off of a missed appointment from another UPMC provider and there was good reason for it but since the systems are all linked they can pick and choose who they want to see based off of different reasons which is not what their insurance contracts state that they can do. Doesn't sound like a caring practice or provider to me.

Very discerning. After ONE visit for series heart and nervous systems issues, I was told that it was anxiety, prescribed an antihistamine, and sent home. I made mention I'd seek a 2nd opinion from an infectious disease doc to which he bad mouthed the reputation of. A couple of weeks later, I received a discharge letter from his practice. I was later determined to have not only babesia (infection of the RBCs) but also postural tachycardia syndrome. Office staff are uneducated, rude, and unprofessional. Avoid this practice at all costs if you value your health.

Kept looking at watch, doesn’t speak well of colleagues

Abrupt and impatient provider , would not talk to family members unless they have a power of attorney to discuss their parent health condition.

For one doctor to say another doctor "practices quackery" and totally dismisses a possible serious illness..YOU SHOULD BE ASHAME DOCTOR!!!!

Two family members wanted to discuss a patient's care, medications and treatment. We were kept waiting while he did paper work, and the doctor seemed impatient once he did meet with us about our questions.
