Dr. Philip T Chen, MD

Dr. Chen is a good doctor with extensive knowledge and good bedside manner. However, every single time I’ve had to see him, I’ve waited more than 45 min. I just had to leave after an hour of waiting to pick up my son. Silly me, I thought I could be seen at my appointment time or a few minutes late.. I’m not sure if he office or doctor double book, but they need to change the amount of patients he sees in a day.. because not everyone can dedicate more than an hour to see a doctor. Disappointed :(

Dr. Chen is a very patient doctor. He will sit down and listen to what's going on and immediately comes up with suggestions. You can tell he has a passion for helping others. He's determined to see his patients get better. I will refer everyone I know to see Dr. Chen. I've had two colonoscopies in my life. The first one was the reg. type years ago in which I didn't feel that well afterward, and then I had his water immersion colonoscopy (which not a lot of doctors are skilled to do), and felt great afterward and didn't have any discomfort.

I WOULD GIVE ANYTHING IF HE WAS BACK AT RIVERSIDE, CA MEDICAL CLINIC. HE WAS A FABULOUS DR.

He is kind and caring. Very knowledgeable. He does a great job of explaining things.

Absolutely loved Dr. Chen. I was starting to get a bit irritated at the wait and then waiting again in the room once they took me back there. All that changed though once Dr. Chen came in and talked to me. I realized the wait was longer because he really spends quality time with his patients. I answered ALL my questions, he explained my procedure to me as well as made sure I understood what could actually go wrong during the procedure and what he would do should the worst possible scenario happened. He even went as far as drawing me a diagram on a piece of paper to show me exactly what he would be doing. I was scared to death but by talking to him and he was able to calm my nerves and I had complete confidence in him by the time I left his office. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a Gastroenterologist.
