Philip Norman Ralph Estes, DDS
Dr. Estes is a proud husband and father of two. Born in Springfield, Illinois, Dr. Estes has lived throughout the world while serving in the United States Army for eleven years. In 1996 he graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Upon graduation he began serving his country in the United States Army serving in Germany, Kosovo, and Iraq. Wanting to become a professional, he then decided to pursue private practice dentistry. Dr. Estes then entered The University of Michigan, School of Dentistry and obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
A proudly decorated veteran, Dr. Estes was promoted to the rank of Major and earned the Bronze Star Medal for his service in Operation Iraqi Freedom from November 2004 to November 2005. Dr. Estes was a battalion executive officer and support operations officer for a 1,400 soldier logistical battalion that earned the …Meritorious Unit Citation for its gallantry in northern and central Iraq. Dr. Estes resigned his commission in May of 2007 in order to begin his private practice dental career without future obligations to the Army. He then purchased his first practice which he named “Oak Dental Frisco PLLC.”
Professionally connected, Dr. Estes is a member of the service fraternity Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society. He is also a graduate member of Delta Sigma Dental, a scholarly dental fraternity dedicated to excellence in dentistry and keeping abreast of all the latest technological advances while promoting ethical standards of dentistry.
Dr. Estes is an Eagle Scout and an active adult leader in the Boy Scouts of America along with his son. Dr. Estes participates in the American Dental Association's “Give Kids A Smile Day” and is interested in serving his community to maximize preventative dental treatment for patients of all backgrounds. An advocate of early preventative dentistry, Dr. Estes believes in establishing a dental home for infants, toddlers, and adolescents. In accordance with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Estes believes in seeing children as early as 12 to 18 months in age. “This establishes early intervention, developmental assessment, and parental education to prevent early childhood tooth decay. It also helps to keep parents informed as to the growth, development and proper oral health care of their children.”
