Dr. Philip Milton Ginsburg, MD

Like many others who have written on here, I also had a horrible experience with Dr. Ginsburg. I won't even try to explain it better- those ahead of me already have. I will reiterate- he is condescending, rude, uncaring, etc and I would also prefer to see the family veterinarian instead of Dr. Ginsburg for my care. His clinical skills are not good, he doesn't put in effort to think outside the box or treat a patient as an individual. To everyone who had a bad experience and shared it- reviews like these are extremely helpful and I applaud you. But I'm going to ask you to take one additional step. Call the office and speak to a medical supervisor and/or office manager. While these reviews WILL prevent some people from seeing him if they do their research ahead of time, they don't actually reach the office since they are 3rd party sites. The office was appalled at the amount of negative reviews across so many websites when I made a complaint over the phone. Clearly nothing is changing… after over a decade with his behavior, level of care, and bedside manner. So the office should be made aware of everybody's experiences and at this point really intervene because this is so not ok!!!

Very condescending and arrogant. Cares nothing about patients well being. Was dismissed by mail, for being late to an appt, in the midst of a severe disease flare without a referral. Ended up in surgery weeks later after my condition worsened.

Horrible doctor I ever had, got suggested to him because of my ulcerative colitis from a previous doctor that had more knowledge than him. Did absolutely nothing to help me made me even sicker than I originally was. I got surgery and stopped seeing him and I been PERFECT ever since. If you have ulcerative coltis don't see this guy, either you get surgery or see someone else because Ginsburg does not have any people skills and doesn't know anything about saving a patients life. I dont know how this guy even made it to the medical field. All this guy cares about is how big he can scam patients to keep his wallet big. Puts money over health and that's a fact.

Run away from this doctor ASAP if you have the chance, very rude and not friendly at all.

I chose this Speciaist because on paper he was impeccably trained & treated both GI & Liver disease. At first he said if he couldn't get my quality of life back, he wasn't doing his job. I fired him him. He was more interested at showing me how to exit his office than answer questions. Arrogance, lack of bedside manner & back peddling on my diagnosis after multiple expensive testings were just a few reasons to end the horrible relationship. After confiding how much pain I had been in from a bout of C-Diff & that it felt like I had a knife in my gutt, he literally looked at me & asked if I had a knife in my gutt. I really didn't find any humor to that statement. Unfortunately, my experience with him was a complete waste of time. I should have seen the clues of never having to wait long to see him, & rarely any other patients in the office. Sadly, I'd get better care from the ER. Last straw was when he said I had to have 'reasonable' expectations of quality of life. Guess never leaving… my home, traveling, holding a job, attending family functions was just too much to ask for with him. Again, you're fired. I could have looked past his swollen head if he could give me some type of life quality. Shouldn't have to put up with this immaturity or incompetence. He even had the odasity to state patients do eventually find him when they're out of options. Just put me out of my misery at that point - I'd probably get better care from our Veterinarian. I just don't get how a Doctor can be so rude, uncaring.

Easily, the worst doctor I have ever been to. He has no bedside manner and is curt and unpleasant. I have never had such a negative experience with a doctor, anywhere. I highly recommend you go elsewhere if you are expecting to be treated with dignity and respect.

Dr. Ginsburg cares deeply about the overall health of his patients. With me his office is always very good about making sure I have appointments to keep track of my Crohn's symptoms, and he's also very diligent about colon screening and other regular health maintenance issues such as flu shots. I'd definitely recommend him to someone who needed to see a gastroenterologist!

I would highly recommend Dr Ginsburg to anyone that has a serious problem that requires the attention of a gastroenterlogist.
