Dr. Philip P Goodwin, MD

This person should only be treated my people who enjoy being prejudged, made to feel stupid and infantilized!

There are many times where I have been to other Dr offices for an appointment for lets just say 2:00 and not be brought into a room until 2:30 only to wait another 15-20 for the Dr to come in. This does not happen here, he values you time and if your appt is at 2:00 you are seen at that time. I have never had to wait in the exam room for more then 10 minutes for Dr Goodwin. His staff is fantastic, alway very accommodating and does their best to work with your schedule or get answers within a timely manner. He takes his time with his patients and answers any questions or concerns you have. I would recommend this doctor to anyone, HE IS FANTASTIC!!!!

This is the most arrogant, rude, dismissive, and uncaring person who calls himself a doctor that I have ever encountered ! If you want to participate in your care by asking questions, then find another doctor. He will treat you like you are an ignorant idiot for questioning his decisions. He doesn't even know his patients and does not take the time to review your chart and/or tests prior to walking into the exam room. His office staff is rude, unresponsive and the good ones have left his employee so all he has left are unprofessional people ... just like this man ! GO ELSEWHERE... There are many good primary care doctors in the area. Also, he bills insurance like it's an ATM !!

I am a senior professional who is responsible for running a multi-million dollar organization. I have been a patient of Dr. Goodwin's practice for several years now. After great deliberation and contemplating probable excuses for this doctor's behavior, practices and policies, I have decided it's time to search for another physician who in my opinion is more concerned with his patient's health and welfare. I have on many occasions called with an acute condition early in the morning and can't recall ever being seen the same day by this doctor; often I am referred to an Urgent Care, the ER, or told the earliest I can be seen is several business days later. Additionally, when he enters the examination room, he is often not prepared and it is clear to me that he has not even reviewed my chart. He shoots from the hip and often just sends you off to another specialist instead of moving solely on his own diagnosis. His practice also doesn't accept my Health Plan's co-pay to fully… compensate him for services; I receive a bill days later for an additional amount. I have a major health insurance provider that is nationwide. If you miss an appointment, regardless of reason, he quickly sends you a bill for $25. Finally, I must agree with several others who have offered reviews. He is most definitely arrogant and does not appear interested in spending his time to entertain a reasonable line of questioning soliciting his professional opinions. For all the reasons I have outlined above, I would not recommend this physician. This review represents only my subjective opinion and is based solely upon my personal experience in working with this physician and his practice.

I have to agree with the person that gave a review in October. He had not reviewed my file before entering the room, and snapped at me when I asked about my test, stating he hadi't reviewed them yet. He also reminded me that I had repeated myself twice regarding an ailment. He needs to learn some bedside manners when dealing with patients. I think he just wants you to sit and listen and not ask questions or challenge his authority. The staff was overly nice which helped. He has requested further test but I'm considering changing doctors.

The staff are courteous and caring. The waiting room seldom has more than one other patient when I arrive. Dr. Goodwin listens to what you need to say, observes your body language when speaking to him and assess ailments with compassion. Questions are answered, and when necessary researched and he gets back to you. I have been seeing him since moving to Palm Coast 12 years ago and my health habits have much improved because of his advice. I would recommend him

I am an educated indivdual and senior manager in my field of study. This physician strikes me as a person who is more concerned about making money, minimizing time spent with patients, and shuffling patients off to other specialists. What I find most troubling is that he does not appear to even take a few minutes to review his patient's records before entering into the examination room - he simply shoots from the hip and along the way dishes up a healthy serving of attidude.I do not recommend this physician to anyone who prefers a patient-doctor relationship exhibiting mutual respect and professional behavior.The above is strictly my opinion. To remain balanced, I have heard at least 2 physicians in the area tell me that this doctor is good at his craft.

A true professional.Caring and compassionate mixed with knowledge and excellence. Staff is equally as good. They make getting what you need a pleasure and hassel free.

I have been a patient of Dr. Goodwins for eight years. He is the most caring, knowledgeable physician I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. He spends as much time as necessary with each and every person he sees, yet I've never had to wait more than about eight minutes to see him.
