He told me he was going to to Heal me.. like he was Lord Jesus Christ his self..He totally told me opposite of what he said waiting to go in to Surgery.,& Lied to my face,that he did not say what he said.He didn't want to hear that his Surgery did not work... I'm way worst now,& another Dr showed me the X-rays after Surgery,where screws & rods are & still no Disc & cage was put in wrong,it will be a yr in8 days, & worst pain ever I live with every day of my life.

I am an RN in the ICU. I chose Dr. Hlavek because in addition to being a talented doctor, Dr. Hlavek consistently demonstrates a genuine concern and empathy for his patients. Dr. Hlavek is a perfect balance between professional pragmatism as well as being personable.

I wouldn't be walking today if it weren't for Dr. HLAVAC. After suffering an injury requiring spinal fusion Dr. HLAVAC performed the surgery and I was able to walk and function normally. 20 months later I suffered another major injury, fracturing vertebrae and requiring additional treatment. The attending Dr. signed off and sent me on my way. I sought the opinion of Dr. HLAVAC who identified the extent of my injury and again treated me. I am able to walk and continue working today thanks to the skillful hands and knowledge of Dr. HLAVAC. I would neither trust nor consider anyone else to treat me

Injured my back at work, was referred to Dr. Hlavac, and he came recommend by a person I knew, I met with him, he agreed that I needed surgery. The day of surgery he assured me that my back pain would be gone, that I would wake up feeling amazing. When I woke up after surgery I was in more pain then I had ever been in my entire life and they wanted me out of the hospital an hour after they woke me up. I never saw Dr. Hlavac till my next appointment, I called his office in pain and they would just say some discomfort is to be expected, I could hardly move, it took 2 extra people to help me walk. During my fallow up appointments I told him about my pain being worse after surgery and he assured me again that it would improve over time then he discontinued care but said if I needed to, to come back and see him. I had to go to another surgeon and the new surgeon couldn't believe what was going on with my back and how bad he left it.

Said all my test were normal when in black and white clearly from two other doctors said I have two herniated disc c spine stenosis and pinched nerves in neck I have extreme pain migraines

I would and do recommend him; wonderful; surgeon .

Excellent Doctor. I had 4 level ACDF surgery 8 hr surgery no complications or side affects. Highly recommend.

I had spinal fusion surgery due from an injury at work.Dr hlavac did an excellent job.He's a kind caring dr plus his staff is nice.I hope I never need surgery again & if I do definitely going back to him.ð???ð??º

An outstanding surgeon who performed back surgery on my wife 5 years ago. He basically was a miracle worker for her. After being in excruciating pain and trying everything form PT to spinal injections, Dr Hkavac did surgery on her at Geisenger WV and had he up and walking around the next day. To this day she has no issues with her back and is pain free.

Dr. Hlavac performed ACDF surgery on my neck. I had 4 level fusion done. Dr. Hlavac was outstanding. You explains everything in terms that my wife and I could understand. He uses your MRI and CT scan to show what wrong and how he help fix what ails you. I woke from 8 hr dsurgery with my necks systems gone. Followup care was excellent. Dr. Hlavac even did my surgery on my wife's off day so my wife could be there, even though it wasn't a normal surgery day. I would highly recommend Dr Hlavac.
