Dr. Philip Frank Iozzi, DO

I travel over an hour to see him. He has never, ever, talked down to me, treated me poorly, acted like I was a bother. He has gone out of his way to help me and when I presented with issues beyond his scope, he admitted that I needed someone more qualified. Then went to it to see I got all the help I needed. This man is an excellent doctor and I recommend him to everyone. My boyfriend, who is totally hard to impress as he's worked in the medical field, was highly impressed with him as well. He hasn't let the medical field ruin him yet, like it does to so many other doctors.

For 10 years he has been the most consistent medical provider. We travel 40 min to see him. Very compassionate and caring physician.

I was a patient for a long time in this practice. It took me 8 months to get diagnosed with a thyroid disorder that was missed by the PA. I left the practice and then went elsewhere. I then had a medical emergency that resulted in me going back to where I had care established, which was Dr. Iozzi's office. The nurse practitioner Michael Mine was wonderful, I hear he is no longer there. Dr. Iozzi as I was explaining serious symptoms going on, told me he would not take care of me unless I stayed on my psyche meds. This was after he tried to inject me with gadolinium for an MRI when I just had an abnormal urinalysis that could show kidney disease. When I discussed this with him and my concerns as an emergency room/critical care and family nurse practitioner, he got angry and dismissed me from the practice in the middle of a medical emergency. I had every right to be concerned about my kidneys and if I let him inject me with this test, I could have had a fatal disease. Something I was not… willing to risk. I have been diagnosed by Cleveland Clinic as having had a moderate to severe brain injury and POTS. Certainly NOT a condition that is of psychiatric origin. I was forced to find a new PCP in the middle of a medical crisis. He unfairly judged me, and forced me to leave the practice, when I did nothing wrong. I was a scared, sick woman in need of medical attention and a good doctor. I did not have that experience with him and the office staff. He turned his ignorance and lack of knowledge of an abnormal urinalysis into I was the problem. No he was the problem.

I have been very pleased with Dr. Iozzi. He is a very smart and caring doctor. I highly recommend him.

In my opinion he is the most uncaring and snooty doctor I have ever been to. He know better than any specialist, expert,or insurance regulation, and he's going to hold to it. Even if it ends up hurting his patient. He should be ashamed of himself.
