Dr. Philip Charles Marin, MD

There’s nothing about my experience with Dr. Marin that was good. I suggested something I thought was healthy for my body and he said it wouldn’t look right. When I went under anesthesia he took liberties to do several things we never talked about and as a result it was reckless surgery that caused me sepsis and disfigurement. For two months I’ve missed work, seen several doctors and spent over $200,000 in medical care to try to get well. Dr. Marin botched me and left me without good blood flow in my breast and I almost died. What’s also sad is that this physician has the worst bedside manner of any physician I’ve ever met and I’ve met hundreds. He never introduced himself he wasn’t polite he was dismissive and abrasive I thought I could overlook that for his skill but when I got out of surgery I immediately knew he had done something to me that was wrong and boy have I paid ever since. I would highly recommend going anywhere else.

Dr Marin and his staff are professional, personable and knowledgeable. Breast cancer and the reconstruction process can be overwhelming so it helped knowing that I could trust my surgeon and his medical team. He also demonstrates competence in the area of innovation. He used fat grafting to help heal the damage to my radiated breast. The difference is remarkable. Each time I have had surgery, his nurses have been extremely thorough in assuring that I have a positive outcome. At one point my surgery was postponed until my bloodwork showed normal ranges. My follow up appointments have been positive and wait times are reasonable. I would highly recommend Dr Marin to anyone who is looking for a reputable plastic surgeon.

Dr Marin is very knowledgeable and caring. He always listens to what you want and takes that to heart. Dr Marin has excellent bed side manner as well! I couldn’t ask for a better doctor!!

Unless you have carpal tunnel, go elsewhere. He runs a plastic surgery chop shop where his only concern is how many cash paying Customers he can run through in a day. Stay away!!

Each breast is shaped differently and are different sizes. When I called the office about an infection with 102 temp, I was told to go get some bacitracin and put it on the incision. I was in so much pain, I ended up going to the emergency room. Turns out I had a bacterial infection. When I went back for a checkup, the assistant opened the examining room door during the exam. Everyone sitting in the reception/waiting area could see straight into the room, even one man. I have never been so embarrassed in my life! My second appointment, I was left sitting in the waiting area for one hour and forty-five minutes. I saw several people, that had come in after me, go back to examining rooms, and even heard the doctor talking. Needless to say, I was "forgotten." I finally just walked up to the reception desk and said I was leaving. So now I live with misshapen breasts. Good thing I was in my late 50's and not prone to wearing low-cut tops. What an absolutely horrible experience.

Professional, but chose me as a guinea pig for a tummy tuck. I am uneven where he did the Liposuction. Abdominal scar from one side of my hip to the other. Scar us ugly & now I can never wear a.bikini again! He charged $7500 & wanted more to fix it!

Dr Marin and doctor Bruce Johnson did my double mastectomy and Dr Marin started the reconstruction at the same time he was wonderful and made sure my family was aware of what was going on, last week he put in my inplants, the staff at his office and the surgery center were amazing I left with very little pain I'm so glad Dr Johnson recommend Dr Marin, I only have one reconstruction surgery left and I know I will be pleased with the results as I already am.

Dr Marin was a Blessing for me. I have "MS" and I had developed a Tumor on my shoulder blade causing me a lot of pain in that area. Dr. Marin removed it . Not only did my pain go away I was able to eliminate unwanted pain killers*

Dr Marin did a great job with my hand surgery. Some of the nurses at Aberdeen were rude. My biggest complaint is that Dr Marin didn't order Occupational Therapy for my hand after surgery. After 4 weeks, I ended up with very little to no mobility. After requesting OT several times, he finally agreed after 6 weeks. I went through grueling OT that wouldn't have been so bad if he had ordered therapy from the start.

I have been thinking about a tummy tuck and breast lift for most of my life. I was told by several people to go to Denver for better results. I am two months post op and had the best care from all the staff from beginning to the end. Dr Marin, surgical nurses and anesthetist go above and beyond to make you comfortable and explain the procedure. I am so glad I had the procedure done in Pueblo. The pain is very minimal and the sutures are very thin. I highly recommend Dr Marin and the Surgery Center!
