My daughter had spine surgery on her back by Dr. Mayer at the age of 5.It took about 10 hours. She had too wear a body cast for 6 months. He did a awesome job. Then she had her second surgery at around 10 or 11 which didn't take as long. Afterwards she wore a body brace until she was about 18. He did a wonderful job she is age 40 now and have no problems at all with her back. Thank you so much Dr Mayer!

Soulless. Paid big bucks (by ins co) to destroy the lives of patients. Bring a witness and a tape recorder. As crooked as they come. If I could give him a negative star rating I would. He has ruined my health and my life.

Would anyone be willing to testify against this doctor in s civil suit

I still have nightmares about my visit with this creep. The memories never go away. I just wish I would have reported it when it happened. If you are a woman do everything you can NOT to see this man. #metoo

Dr Mayer performed emergency surgery for me in 2003. He agreed to perform the surgery on Sunday morning so I could attend my daughter's Saturday wedding. The surgery was effective and saved me from irreparable nerve damage. Fifteen years later, I had severe backaches and sought out Dr. Mayer. He apparently ceased surgical procedures and works to find non-surgical treatment for back problems. He prescribed physical therapy at an adjacent facility in Northville. After a few weeks (I'm 75,) I was good to go, no recurring problem for the last few years. Many people complain about their back pain and most of them are victims of poor sitting and standing posture, (a soft couch is the worst for me). Much of this can be corrected with proper physical therapy and exercises. Surgery is a last resort and should be avoided if at all possible. Some people are too lazy to do the work of therapy and hope for an effortless, painless, surgical solution, a bad gamble.

Bring a witness if your a women - this man makes you get undressed for cervical neck problems- highly paid doctor for insurance companies!!!! He will flip it all on you!!! tell you he understands ($$ he understands he will be getting) he's on your side. This doctor should have his license revoked!!! How this is legal is beyond me!!!Dont know how he looks himself in the mirror( greed of mankind) for years he's been doing this!!! Clearly shows in reviews how far back this man's been doing this. Like the other person said- don't TAKE THIS PERSONALLY - don't even read his fabricating false report- safe yourself the pain and anguish from what he writes about you and focus on your physical disabilities of why you had this meet this monster !!! Recent visit, wish I read reviews before going to this fake/false doctor- that has lost all credibility in the medical field- this is why he is a insurance paid doctor

Avoid this man who I can not even call a physician. He is paid for by the insurance companies who do not want to pay for your care. I was injured on the job 18 years ago and continued to work for 15 years with workers compensation paying all bills. I avoided all medication and finally with pain clinic physician continued input, i went on nerve medication, muscle relaxers and occassional opiods. It was ME who pushed myself to work with the pain and to try to continue my life with the pain. It was the way that i was raised. When you go to see this man, he will toot his own horn for the first 30 minutes and then try to reassure you that he is "on your side" and then turns every comment or item in you record around to look bad against you. Opiod addicted woman who was "obviously able to make the nearly 3 hour trip to my office". It was not an option for me to go anywhere closer and I tried to get that approved. I have no family who could drive or friends that were not working that… could just drive me. Anything you do or say will only be used against you. If you are sent to see this mad, get a workers compensation attorney.
