Organized and through with a nice bedside manner and everyone of his NP's or PA's are also very competent. Great teamwork.. They don't miss a thing--your life is on the line and they care. I can't imagine it getting any better..! The wait can be a bit; but who cares- It's my life that's on the line and it's worth waiting for outstanding competence. I have nothing that's more important...!!

If you have any kind of cancer or chronic blood disease, you have a world class Center right in your back yard. Get a second opinion at Cleveland, NYC, or Mayo,Minn. if you want, But you'll get superb, cutting edge care right here in Buffalo from Dr. McCarthy (Transplant Center-if you need it) and the Hematology Dept. also. I am a doc also and can tell you they are fantastic at keeping track of everything and not letting even the small thing slip through the cracks. They have a well coordinated team and keep excellent track of you with a excellent system of patient portal or phone contact. He is a great Doc, and i am one as well rating HIM. Even IF you had a complaint, you want him to save your life. He CAN do it- he brought me back from the edge...

Outstanding Doctor. Off the charts brilliant. Takes all the time needed for each of his patients, which means he often runs behind. He is up front about that when you select him as your Doctor. The payoff is that his patients have a great survival rate. I know. I'm one of them.
