Dr. Philip McGee has been with the Clearview Cancer Institute since 2004. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi and his M.D. from East Tennessee State University. He completed his post-graduate training in Hematology and Oncology and his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Alabama Hospital at Birmingham. From 2002–2003, he participated in development and accrual of research studies pertaining to gastro-esophageal cancer and colorectal cancer. Dr. McGee is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and Hematology. He is certified with FACT as a qualified bone marrow transplant physician.

Dr. McGee has been my oncologist since I was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma, stage 3, 8 years ago. I feel blessed for having found him. He's knows what he's doing, he's cordial. He saved my life!

Dr. McGee has been my oncologist for 9 years. He has been there for me through 3 times with cancer. I'm a six time survivor. He keeps a close watch on me, so it can be found before the cancer gets too bad. He's very caring, helpful, takes time to listen to my concerns and answers my questions. He has always explained what was going to be done when I was diagnosed. He has a very good bed side manner. His staff has always been really nice too. I would recommend him anytime.

Dr McGee is compassionate, inquisitive, and knowledgeable. He works well with the patient's team of doctors and encourages patient involvement and questions.

My husband originally started seeing Dr. Mcgee for a blood problem, and about a year later, it was found that I had a blood issue of another kind. I have been very, very happy with the level of compassion and caring from Dr. Mcgee, and would highly recommend him.

Dr. McGee was a wonderful doctor who is a kind, caring oncologist who is perfect for his job. He listens to everything you say and is very helpful in explaining your diagnosis.. He really helped me through a traumatic time in my life. Thank God for doctors like him and all of the caring staff at Clearview Cancer Center!

Great oncologist...could not have had a more considerate, kind oncologist than Dr. Phillip McGee...and his staff is great too!! 5 â?? Dr. for sure!!

Dr. McGee and his staff are wonderful! They never rush you, they always ask if you have any questions, and then always take the time to answer them. Very people oriented and make you very comfortable talking to them. They always break it down in layman's terms so you know what they are talking about!
