did the knee surgery on 2018, he did a half a.. job and ofter 3 years the pain is back and i can stay in same position more than couple of hours. visited another surgeon after X-ray found out door greedy instead of replacing the knee which would take care of me for long time he did partial in order to keep another operation available for him down the road to make more money.. shame on him, i live with pain and suggest anyone to see other surgeon since he is not trustworthy ...

Dr. Merritt is very dedicated to his patients and his practice. He makes sure to educate you and answer your questions with respect and consideration. He is very straightforward and honest. I would recommend him WITHOUT RESERVATION.

I HAD ON ""HIS ADVICE"" TWO HIP REPLACMENT. AFTER SURGERY , ON THERAPIST HANDS I HAD TWO LEGS FEMUR BROKEN, ONE AFTER THE OTHER, AND TWO MORE SURGERY , ONE AFTER THE OTHER, TOTAL 4 SURGERYS IN LES THAN 10 DAYS ! = STAY 3 MONTHS AND HALF IIN THE HOSPITAL AND A RECUPERATION HOME. AFTER 5 MONTHS I CAN HARDLY WALK, HAVE PAIIN, AND MY LEFT REPLACMENT IS HURTING MORE. I 'M AFRAID I HAVE TO HAVE ANOTHER SURGERY TO FIX THAT, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ! PLEASE, DON'T GO TO HIM !=

just now-Edit front office nurses need to get it together. They show no empathy towards their own patients. My mom has called them several times due a sever pain in her knee begging for an emergency appointment with the doctor to a point that this woman is crying for help and all they can do is give out an appointment in months ahead and tell her not to call back and hung up on her. Learn some manners these are real people with real pain! belittling them because they are elders and talking to them however you want doesn't fly now days. Going to be putting a complaint with the medical board as well.

I was very selective before choosing a doctor. I wanted someone current with latest techniques, experienced, thorough, and dedicated to all aspects of treatment. Dr. Merritt resolved my hip and knee issues. I do not live in Glendale but the trip to see him is well worth it.

Brilliant. Good sense of humor when needed. Did partial knee replacement on both knees and feel fantastic. Explains things with care and I was not nervous at all.

My original doctor botched replacing my right hip and either lied to me or couldn't read the xrays and realized it was f***ed up (one of the doctors I saw before Dr Merritt asked me 'You walk on that?') Five doctors told me they couldn't fix it and I needed a specialist and finally Medi-Cal got me Dr Merritt. Great guy. Good explanation of what was wrong and how he could fix it. Not only that, he wanted to do both hips at the same time; I was NERVOUS after my first go round, but his warmth, humor and competence convinced me. The first time I went thru this, I was in the hospital for a couple of days and in rehab for two months. This time, with both hips done, I was walking the first day (with help and morphine! ;) ), out of the hospital in a week, and in rehab for less than 3 weeks. This doctor and his staff are my heroes. Absolutely the best.

he did surgery on my grandpa and now its been 2 weeks that we’ve been in the hospital because of a blood cloth. He didnt give him the shot that was suppose to be given after surgery. He just playes with peoples lives. Worse doctor ever. Wish him nothing but the worse. My grandpa is dying because of his dumba**

Doctor Merrit made me Handy caped I have not been good in the last 4 years since my surgery it is now 2018. I have to drink pain medication and the implants in my knees hurt. I would not go to him and because of him no other doctor wants to attempt fixing my knees. I will say this he may have gone to Med school but he did not learn anatomy there. He learned how to convince a patient to go into surgery.

Dr. Merritt cares about his patients and it shows. Most doctors will not call their patient's back if there is a concern, but he will. I had a partial lateral knee replacement which is mending well. At my 6 month post op appointment, I was sharing more than just my knee recovery, but that my lower back was really hurting and causing pain down the same side as my surgery knee. Dr. Merritt ordered a MRI of my lower back to get the ball rolling and referred me onto a spinal neurosurgeon for further care. Dr. Merritt is also a very pleasant doctor with a good bedside manner. He listened to me and explained to me about what was going on with my knee in very easy to understand words.
