Dr. Philip Emerson Moberg, MD

Dr. Modern is very thorough and listens to his patients, as well as answered all your questions to the best of his ability. When he refers you out for additional care or tests, he follows through to make sure you are taken good care of. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone needing a really great rheumatologist.

I had weight loss surgery and turned my life around. Having been heavy for so many years my knees gave me a lot of pain. Now that I am 135 lbs lighter I walk every day. My knees were still hurting until I saw Dr. Moberg. He gives me knee injections every 6 months with a new drug designed just for my condition. He said I didn't need a knee replacement since the injections took away my knee pain. This has allowed me to walk 2 miles 5 out 7 days a week. Dr. Moberg listens to every question. I asked the Doctor why is it I don't feel any pain when receiving the injections? He said he used a thinner needle. It takes longer but I barely felt any pain. Most Doctors would have just run me through without taking the Time Dr. Moberg does. He simply has helped me turned my life around. Thanks Dr. Moberg!

I have an auto-immune issue. Too many white blood cells, and they attach some tissues, causing pain in the hands. A couple of other doctors I've seen hadn't been able to come up with a good plan for how to deal with this. Dr. Moberg put me on an outdated malaria medicine that has the side affect of "turning down" the white blood cell count. Something like that, anyway. I thought it was a clever solution, and it's worked well for a couple of years. I see him once per year for a check-up, and he has good people skills (he remembers who I am, what the issue is, and what I'm about outside of the hospital).

I cannot say enough good things about this clinic, their staff, and Dr. Moberg, and Victoria his RN. They are all so polite, caring, understanding, accommodating.. the list goes on. I feel like if i'm going to have an auto immune disease, at least the bright side is I get to see these fine folks once a month!

Sad when my doc of 7 years retired. He recommended Dr Moberg and I'm glad he did! Intelligent but doesn't talk down to you. Willing to listen and partner with patients to develop plan for best achievable health.

Dr. Moberg has giving me the change to live a better life.

I am a 44 year old female who was referred to Dr. Moberg by my primary caregiver. I was diagnosed over 15 years ago with ankylosing spondilitis.I have seen several different rheumatologists over the years so I know what it is generally like when you meet with one especially for the first time. I could not have any more positive things to say about him. He was very prompt with my appointments that I have had with him, his entire staff could not have been more courteous and compassionate and from the moment he walked in the door I felt comfortable with him. He was extremely knowledgable about every question I had to ask and even the ones I didn't know to ask. At no point did I ever feel rushed, in fact the opposite. Even though he was extremely prompt with all the appointments I had with him at no point did I ever feel rushed. He could not have a better bedside manner. I left his office without a single question unanswered and feeling like I had more knowledge about what was going on in… my spine than I possibly ever have in my 15 years of being diagnosed by my disease. I honestly cannot even begin to say enough good things about Dr. Moberg. I am shocked to see the reviews on here and am very disappointed to see them because I truly do not believe I was special. I believe this is how Dr. Moberg treats his patients. In my opinion I do not think he deserves anything less than a five star rating across the board. Honestly if I could give him a higher rating I would. I will never go see another rheumatologist again. I don't believe there is a better rheumatologist out there.

My primary doctor's staff made an appointment with Dr. Moberg. When I received his patient's package I called his office and canceled the appointment since I would be out of town that day. This was several days before the appointment. Two days before the appointment I again called his office advising them I would be out of town. Four days later I get a letter from Dr. Moberg's office charging me $250 for failing to keep my appointment. Again I called his office without success. I have called 3 times and written a letter but the bills keep coming. If his practice is as good as his staff, I would never go to him. Very disappointed.

Do not see him if you have any pre-existing condition. I am grateful my neurologist recommended I get another opinion, as he did not feel a complete evaluation was done. I took his advice, and the new rhuematologist actually listened and ran tests. I learned I have spondyloarthritis, and am finally being treated and some pain relief.
