Dr. Philip Andre Straymond, MD

Hands down worst doctor experience ever. This doctor was awful and did not even take five minutes to inquire about any underlying medical history related to my ED complaint. However immediately upon entering the room decided all my issues were secondary to weight and began insulting my lifestyle based on his preconceived notions of what physical activity and diet he felt I had. When I expressed that I've lost weight and the problems stared at my lowest weight he continued to reiterate that I was too overweight and nothing else mattered. I've never encountered someone so rude, condescending, and disrespectful in my many years of seeing doctors. He does not know what bedside manner is because he does not have even one ounce of it.

Took time to discuss my issues. Came up with a game plan that made sense and I was happy with.

Dr St. Raymond is without a doubt the rudest doctor I have ever been to. Hes more interested in talking about himself and has stated on numerous visits before I dropped him that he does not want to be bothered in the middle of the night dealing with my problems. His front office girl is cold and unfriendly and the entire package is just not a good, caring or proactive when it come to my overall health and well being. I tried Dr Gleason in town and found his office to be completely the opposite and was very much interested in helping me with my issues. Never once did he cut me off, yell at me or act unprofessional. I would NOT recommend Dr St Raymond

I was referred by my regular doctor when they were unable to figure out what was causing my frequent UTI's. Rather than asking questions, I was accused of things like lack of fluid intake, or lack of fluids in general, suggesting that I am a heavy drinker, I don't even drink, told him that and he basically laughed in my face. Basically called a liar and spoken down to as if I was a child. Went to a different doctor.... prostate cancer... Thanks for the bill and antibiotics...

He is a nice guy, but not a very thorough urologist. You would expect a competent urologist when treating a patient with reoccurring UTI's to suspect something and starting looking for the cause. You would also expect the doctor to order a urine culture to pinpoint the infection. He did neither. He was good at ordering antibiotics and that was it. My constant complaints were frequent urination, burning, and urgency. He told me I have BPH and gave me pills. Now 6 months later in the hands of a real good urologist I find my symptoms indicated bladder cancer and my BPH was prostate cancer. My advice is think twice about your urologist. If he doesn't do prostate biopsy, or cystoscope he may not be able to find your problem. Just sticking a finger up your butt and rubbing your prostate does not tell the whole story. Good Luck

Dr. St. Raymond is worth the wait, hard to get an apt, but the best Dr. I have ever met. Loved his bedside manner and communication skills. Would highly recommend to everyone. Adult and pediatric!
