Dr. Philip Joseph Stern, MD

Philip J Stern is a great Doctor. Very attentive. He actually talk to and listen to his patients. A very one on one type of doctor. I guess some would call that old school. But it seems to be something hard to find in today’s modern medicine.

30 years and carding but he dropped my anxiety pill after taking for 20 yrs. I HV been a mess since.

My mother to grow city medical office since 1956. Two days she went with me for my appointment and I asked if Dr. Stern could see her and the answer was he was done for the day. My mother is 90 years old at times can barely walk, and I am shocked that he would not take five or 10 minutes to see her. I will never go back there again. After all these years he could not squeeze her in because he was done for the day. We are looking and have found a new family Dr.

Dr. Stern is a good doctor. My husband & I went to him for year, It was only when our insurance changed that we had to change doctors.. This made us sad as we had a great relationship with Dr. Stern. At the time of my mother in laws death ( he was her doc to) He called the family to check on all of us and was very kind to our family and has always gone the extra mile for us... We highly recommend him!

Dr and /or office needs to be educated on the side effects of taking a patient off of an anti depressant as well as a pain medication! After 6 years of being on a medication any Dr that is up on the knowledge and or side effects of being dropped off of either of these medication would know that you can not just drop a patient off these medications and the outcome that can come from it and possibly a lawsuit!I was told to find a new Dr cause of type of insurance(note-that I have had since august),I found a new Dr but cant get in for a month but office still wouldnt refill me medication for the one more month after going there since 2003. I guess there is a reason South Western quit allowing the office to do their physicals. I talked to my insurance provider and we have consulted an attorney.Just a heads up,also the office staff is very rude.

Dr Stern cared about me. He didnt rush me through what I had to say. He cared about how I felt mentally and physically. This is the doctor for me and I live 45 minutes from him. It is so worth it though.

They don't come any better then Dr. Stern. I've been a patient for over 20 yrs. and he's the closest to being perfect, in my book.

Dr.Stern talks like an auctioneer, so you really have to listen up! He is exceptionally bright and if he can't figure out what is wrong with you, he will send you to a specialist, pronto. Not one to spend a lot of time soothing you, but he is funny, kind, and a really good doctor.

He is extraordinary. Listens, and will find a cause of your symptoms. I was feeling so fatigue, everyday I suffered to do routine things. Went to a specialist, whom found nothing to explain my fatigue. Dr. Stern did a full exam, with lab work, he called me at home explaining my Vit.D was very low! I am so grateful, taking his prescribed treatment, feel better after 2 weeks! He is very intelligent, talks fast, but slows down when asked.
