Dr. Philip Gregory Steude, MD

My teenage son saw him for a couple of years. He was pompous and blunt. He told my son that one of the medications could split his tongue open. He charged double the going rate. At the time my son saw him, he was the only psychiatrist accepting children so I had no other options. Otherwise I would have moved him to another psychiatrist.

I wish I’d seen a different doctor who would have done the right thing, the thing he was supposed to do as a mandated reporter. He must not have believed me. I’ve had to deal with my abuser for the rest of my life.

Self absorbed, and abrasive.

I have been a patient for over 30 years. Through psychotherapy and continued medication for chemical imbalnce, my depression is at a minimum.I only go for medication visits and have been for at least 20 years.If I do need to see him for any issue, I know he will councel me. I was very fortunate to have found him. I was just blessed.

I have been seeing Dr. Steude since 1998 - I had been suffering for years and did not know what was wrong with me other than that I was depressed. On the initial evaluation he diagnosed me within minutes -and was spot on - I had OCD and Depression. I have been in "Remission" for about 9.2 years. It took little over 6 monts to find the right medication combo for me - and also had therapy sessions. At first the visits were more frequent - maybe once a week - but then they changed to every 3 months then 6 months - Now I see him annually. Seeking professional help was the best decision of my life. My quality of life now is 200 times better than before diagnosis. I thank God for giving Dr. Steude the intelligence to become a doctor - and help me!
