Dr. Philip Lee Strauss, MD

I feel as if I needed to write a review. I read other reviews and was worried. Which is why I decided to write my own review. I feel they don’t represent any where near what I experienced and I hate the internet and these anonymous reviews. He was extremely professional, very thorough, and answered all my questions. Was kind enough to schedule an appointment for me to follow up with the specialist. If I can give 10 stars I would. Thank you Dr Strauss!

excellent doctor

I saw Dr. Strauss in the ER in 2016 for acute asthma. It was the worst experience in my life. He didn't want to hear about my medical history with asthma. He didn't give a physical exam. He was rude to me and my daughter. It was so bad I had to leave and go elsewhere for medical treatment. I was hospitalized for a week elsewhere. To know that people are still having these same experiences is disturbing. What will it take for changes to be made?

Treated my mother with compassion and great care

I saw him at Holy Cross Germantown. He was rude, dismissive and flatly told me he did not want to hear the history of what brought me to the ER. He treated me as if I was stupid for coming in, even though I was following the advise of several doctors who I had seen in the days leading up to my visit. He ran blood work and sent me home. He did not do a physical exam. Adding to the insult, the company he works for and is the provider of Holy Cross' ER doctors is out of network for Cigna (a major provider in the area). I will never go to Holy Cross again and I would not trust this doctor at all.

I didn't not even get the courtesy of him seeing me and explaining my 19 old sons injury after falling over 12 feet at his job.He gave no xrays of his back and nurse told me he will not see me to explain.Just gave him ibuprofen MEANWHILE ER ROOM WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. HE COULD NOT TAKE ONE MINUTE. I had to talk to a unprofessional nurse who was rude. This Hospital HOLY CROSS is HORRIBLE

I came with some sort of poisoning or allergic reaction to the mushrooms, terrific pains, yelled like small boy and had to fight for every pain relief medicine during all the way. I can not explain why Dr. Strauss was so reluctant to give it... just to see the clear symptoms?.. But after a while when you have seen the symptoms and you see the 44 years old man yelling like small boy...it was terrible thing
