Dr. Philip Tasca, MD

I had an excellent experience with Dr. Tasca and the entire team at PM&R. In my initial meeting to select a pain management doctor, Dr. Tasca was professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my questions and was just lovely to deal with. He recommended an epidural for two locations, S1 and L5, to hopefully get me relief from spinal stenosis. The procedure itself was not painful (just a bit uncomfortable at times) and I appreciated that he told me what to expect at each step so I knew to expect a pinch, cold, or whatever. I thought I would be sore that evening or the next day, but I had nothing. No soreness at all. The epidural didn’t magically cure my issue, but it is offering some relief, so I consider it a success. Hope it lasts!

Wouldn’t trust my back with anyone else!

I contacted my PCP after a fall for his advice. He recommended Dr. Philp Tasca at Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in Englewood, NJ. As everyone does before making a decision, I went online to check his credentials. I was quite impressed by his educational background, research, publications and honors. So I scheduled my initial consult…that was over 5 years ago. Dr. Tasca is a physiatrist who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment diseases. He also performs epidurals and peripheral joint injections with ultrasound and x-ray guidance. Lucky for me, since he just performed an epidural yesterday and today I woke up pain free. Also convenient is he works with physical and occupational therapist within the PM&R location. If anyone is interested in ratings, Dr. Tasca ranks 10+*.

Dr Tasca is great! I've had multiple visits with him. I've seen him for my knees, my shoulder, and my feet. I have had my knee aspirated many times and injections on multiple occasions, honestly when this doctor gives you an injection, you don't feel it! He aspirated my knee many times and I had zero pain, I never felt it! He is seriously amazing! Great doctor! Caring, attentive, listens to your concerns, very trustworthy. He knows the best way to eliminate your pain and get you back on the road to health. I highly recommend him.

When I first saw Dr. Tasca I was in pain, and angry. I had been with my old physiatrist for a long time, and now it was time to find a doctor closer to where I lived. I was certain that whoever I saw for treatment would never be able to alleviate my pain as well as my former doctor. Well, I'm glad to say that I was wrong. Dr. Tasca takes away my pain; with compassion, humor, and expert skill he heals me! He is a great doctor and I know that I am in good hands with him because he really cares about his patients. He listens and understands my concerns, and is determined to make me feel better. And he does at every visit!

I have been a patient of Dr. Tasca for many years. He is absolutely the most professional, thourough and compassionate Dr.s in his field. A great combination !

l have nothing but praise for Dr. Tasca. He is very knowledgeable and listens to everything I have to say. He is compassionate and takes the extra time to fully understand the issues I have. He creates a superior doctor/patient relationship with is very important, especially in these times. I can always count on him to do the right thing. His staff are very nice and helpful and I never have to wait long to see him. I usually wait about 5 minutes, which is really not a wait. He gives me tips on how to improve my health. When I had back issues I received facet injections in my lower lumbar area from Dr. Tasca and my back has been good ever since (knock wood). I see Dr. Tasca 6 months per year. I have a gastro/pulmonary muscular disorder which there is no cure for and I need to be on medication for it. I never have an issue with my prescriptions and getting refills and he and his staff notify my pharmacy immediately every time. We are around the same age and its nice to have a doctor who… can relate to things besides health, such as, sports and exercising. He recently gave me tips on how to improve a torn rotator cuff and the exercises I should do to strengthen my shoulder. I have been doing them and my shoulder is feeling better. On a humorous note, being that we are around the same age, we are both aging gracefully.

I have been a patient of Dr. Tasca's for over 2 years and I have found that he is always prompt, attentive and makes the process quick and effortless. Dr. Tasca has been able to help me maintain an active vigorous lifestyle even though I had chronic pain.

I’ve been going to this pain clinic for more than ten years and seeing Dr Tasca monthly for five years. He treats me with respect and listens to me. We discuss my medical situation and doesn’t dictate. He listens to me with my multitude of issues. I have several medical issues that tie into pain management and he wants to be aware of what is going on in my life. He is what I expect from the doctors I see. The office staff knows me and accommodates me. Since I’ve been going to this center for so long I’m comfortable there.
