sorry, can't recommend this guy!

Dr. Thielhelm was very thorough in his review and time with my father, the patient. As a son with fairly extensive knowledge of medical issues through our family's experience, I accompanied my father to help if necessary to fill in any gaps, given his complex medical history and condition. Dr. Thielhelm did not appear to be pleased by my presence - which was not intrusive. His responses to my questions and comments bordered on dismissive. He made virtually no eye contact with me during the session. His attention to my father was impressive, but his demeanor toward a well-meaning, polite, family member seems to run counter to the notion that there be an inclusive dialogue among doctor, patient and a patient's family member, who is demonstrating the caring and commitment to be present. In this regard, despite Dr. Thielhelm's mastery of pulmonology, was a lack of creating a comfortable environment for all.
