Dr. Philippe Armand, MD

I’ve been to Sloan, UCSF and Yale. Dr Armando at Dana Farber is the best amongst all the oncologists I’ve seen. Highly recommend him

I had primary mediastinal diffuse B-cell lymphoma, treated with R-EPOCH for a complete metabolic response. He was kind, available, super-knowledgable, honest, and brilliant. I chose him because I'd worked with him previously -- I was a surgeon at BWH/DFCI previously. I owe him my life.

Dr. Armand is a World Class Physician. He took such amazing care of me.

I am an older patient of Dr. Armand. When undergoing treatment, I had several setbacks and was admitted to the Brigham on several occasions. Throughout my treatment, Dr. Armand was always most caring and concerned, not only about my cancer, but about family situation. He was always willing to talk to my sons. He does go above and behond when caring for his patients. As an example,on one occasion, I had a spell while at the clinic. It was decided that I should be admitted to the Brigham. An ambulance was called, and to my surprise, Dr. Armand came in the ambulance with me to the Brigham and into the Emergency Room to make sure that he could aprise them of my condition. He is, without a doubt, the best! I am so very grateful that he is my doctor.

I actually left Beth Israel (neighboring hospital) because the oncologist there was very rude to my non-native English speaking mother (who happens to have a Chemical Engineering Degree, but my previous oncologist thought she might be dumb as a brick just because she can't speak English very well). Nonetheless, I felt that I could no longer trust or respect her (previous oncology Dr.) after seeing how she communicated with the person who cares most about me.So, I moved to Dana Farber and was assigned to Dr. Armand. What an inspiring man! He is so sweet, knowledgeable, curteous, and attentive. I think having an attentive Dr. is very important especially when you are dealing with illnesses as serious as cancer. You want to feel that your doctor CARES about you and you are not just another "body" passing through his office. I have just finished my Bachelors of Science degree and am going to get a PharmD. Why am I telling you this? Because Dr. Armand took the interest to learn a little… about my life story and to encourage me to do well in school. That's such a nice personal touch to a lifelong doctor-patient relationship.I extremely highly recommend Dr. Armand to anyone who wants a caring, knowledgeable doctor on their "kicking cancer in the bum - Team".Hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor at age 21, female, now age 26, caucasian/asian, ABVD treatment
