Dr. Phillip Lawrence Brick, MD

Dr. Brick has very little control of his emotions when questioned or when a patient disagrees with a medical decision, bedside manners are poor. He never returns patient calls no matter how urgent. He treats his own patients during hospital admissions-often opts to not visit his patients at the bedside most days…he’s a very lazy physician, and his implicit biases influences the “care” he gives each patient. During the first night of a recent admission I was coughing-up blood, vomiting, food/oral medications were getting stuck, suffering with severe pain in my esophagus/sternum, & a severe kidney infection. While in the ER I was given a message that he’d examine me after I was admitted. After being admitted, my nurse & I waited for 3hrs. She contacted Brick multiple times concerning an examination at the bedside. He lied to my nurse, stating he examined me in the ER, including a lie that he checked my esophagus, which he said confirmed I can swallow just fine.

I've been with Dr Brick for about 20 years now and he spends time with his patients opposed to other doctors that average about 6 minutes with their patients. He's thorough and I trust him completely.

This was the first time a Doctor has ever gone on a political rant during my appointment. Now I know that he hates President Trump and his entire family. He actually called them names. Positively bizarre. I felt that his behavior was unprofessional and inappropriate. During this visit I felt that his political opinions were more important than my health. My insurance and I do not pay him for him voicing any opinions but those regarding my medical issues during an appointment. I am looking for a new Doctor.

He really takes his time and listen s, he compassionate, really brings you into your health care decisions, open minded, and well educated. I have fibromyalgia among other health issues, and he's interested in to hear my feelings, and is very helpful. Just wish when I called his office I didn't get a voice mail that states she will get back to me within 24 hours, I will say she has contacted me eariler, but I'd like to talk to at least a person when I call. Great Dr. just could use a improved staff answering phones, Would be perfect. I wouldn't go no where else though.

Dr. Brick is always willing to give you as much time as you need with him at his office. His staff are very responsive when calling and he is a breath of fresh air in the medical profession.

I liked the quick time that was able to get in to have a newpatient appointment. I'm hoping the experience is nice. I believe in first impressions, the young lady (Pat) that schedules appointments is extremely,rude and has a very bad attitude, people like that should not be on the front line or dealing with patients.

Dr. Brick is a very caring, compasionate,and overall excellant doctor in my opinion. I have never had an internest that lives up to his standards!

Dr. Brick is an outstanding doctor.He always takes the time to help me and listen to me.

He truly cares about the treatment of his patients. Wonderful doctor.
