Dr. Phillip A Moreano, MD

With Dr. Moreano I felt very comfortable talking to him. At first I thought, I’m seeing the wrong physician he’s a baby doctor I’m in post menopause. Rest assured Dr. Moreano explained in detail what was going on with my body, what to expect and plan of action. He was professional but not stuffy or arrogant.

Seriously, would not go to anyone else! Very informative, never feel rushed and his nurse and the rest of the staff is awesome!

I have been dealing with gynecological issues over the past 18 months with the help of Dr. Moreano. He was patient, conservative in my treatment plan, listened to my concerns and fears and explained his thought process and the tests and treatments needed throughout the entire journey. He is direct when needing to get his point across which I am sure puts off some people. But I valued his honesty during times of crisis of the past 18 months. His staff is caring and acts professional as well.

I had papsmear/culture performed everything and everybody seemed legit. Until I started having problems with heavy bleeding 3 months ago. He did exam with sono which showed I had fibroid. He presented me with surgical options for heavy bleeding and would monitor fibroid. 3 months later freq. urination occurred with heavy bleeding. Asked for a urine test to rule out UTI didn't have one started to research on my own. Found fibroid can grow and push on your bladder. Made another appt. Shared my concerns. Nurse on phone said I couldnt have culture do to bleeding, nurse in room said blood was good for a culture, asked doctor about confusion. blood obscures culture hmm. So he offered me the option again of surgery for the bleeding and to stop bleeding now offered birth control pills and estrogen. He knew I couldnt take the pill because of a history of depression and was told several years ago not to take it, he was made aware of this twice. When I told him "been down this road… before didn't work" he said take the pills or bleed whatever its your choice, I had to ask for sono. Anyway came back for it, was seen by doctor after mysteriously the fibriod was now "gone" and I now have "either a blood clot or polyp" in my uterus. When confronted by my husband about how I was treated earlier he failed to mention the "take the pills or bleed" remark until I reminded him of it. We then even gave him a chance to redeem himself and diagnosis me. I even said if you don't know just say it and refer me. arrogance stood in his way and he repeated option of the pills and estrogen to stop bleeding. Also offered antibiotics for urine problems although urine test was "clean". Further research estrogen is not good for a polyp (which he thought I might have) 2nd when I looked up ureathaitis, symptoms include painful, burning urination. Which he knew I didn't have. When the nurse was confronted on her lack of knowledge she acted unprofessional. My husband and I explained to the doctor and nurse that we had choice but choose their practice, I choose to use my insurance and spend my money on co-pays there and all I asked for was to be treated nicely. I even mentioned that sympathy to someone who was scared and in pain seemed like something a doctor and nurse should just naturally have toward a patient. Is that too much to ask. 5 of his former patients (friend's of mine) had told he he had terrible bedside manner, was unprofessional and arrogant. I believe in spending my money local to support our community but not at that price. My body, my health, my choice.
