Dr Surface did a great job on my knee replacement. I will trust him 100% with any future issues I may have.

Dr Surface is the most caring Dr I have ever met he always takes time to explain your injuries and what your options are ! Followers up on you to see how you are doing I have had a TRKR replacement and surgery on both hands will never let anyone besides Dr Surface treat me ....

Dr Surface was very friendly, his staff was wonderful. I was treated with respect, and given options that were explained to me as I would understand them. I would recommend this doctor to any one of my family or friends

I'm not certain why this man still has a license to practice. He has made mistake after mistake, and his mistakes have left those crippled, in pain, or even in my family's case, with the loss of a loved one. I would never recommend going to Dr. Phillip Surface- it's not worth the risk. There are many other surgeons with much better track records.

Today was my first day seeing doctor surface. I had two previous knee injuries that caused me to have knee surgery on my left knee. Over this time I developed anxiety about everything doing with my knee. I dislocated my right knee and was referred to Surface. The wait wasn't that long considering how long I've waited on other doctors. First, I dealt with a nurse or xray tech (I'm guessing, not too sure) but she was very very nice. she took me to get xrays. I had a panic attack during it and she just calmed me down and assured it was okay. She then had me walk back to the room I was previously in, but without my knee brace, and of course I was a mess but she kept me calm. She was my favorite nurse( or whatever she was) ive ever had. Then I saw Dr Surface and I really liked him. My old knee doctor retired so I was very reluctant but he calmed my nerves. He was very nice and he just had that likeness about him. Of course this was only my first visit, but so far I really like Dr. Surface

Some of these "so called reviews" are completely bogus. Why don't "you" go check your "facts"!! Your so called reviews are full of lies and deceit to these other potential patients and people who do not truly know this doctor. You would never think that "you" were the ones who did something to cause your problem? I am "positive" that this doctor did everything he could to help each and everyone of your issues, and you were nothing but either noncompliant or just "lied" about your pre-existing conditions. But of course, you would never be mature or bright enough to look at yourself or your loved one for doing anything wrong. Withholding information about your history is a serious mistake!! Dr. Surface is extremely competent and capable of fixing all sorts of orthopedic injuries. He has not only changed my life, but helped the lives of so many people around me. You will notgo wrong choosing Dr. Surface for any and all of your orthopedic issues!!!! PS All this negativity is… ridiculous!! People, do not believe all this negativity and stupidity you read on the internet!!

Dr. Surface, has been our doctor for a few years now. He has worked on my husband's shoulders and one knee. And on both of my knees. I have always been very pleased with him and his staff. In fact my husband has another appointment next month for his knee. And my family doctor has advised me to get an appointment for my hands. We live about two hours from Charleston and my husband took therapy in our community. His therapist was pleased with him and wanted to know who his doctor was, We always send family and friends to him.

well back in 2005 i had a really bad mine accident. tore my shoulder bad and doctor surface got me back to work in no time. my shoulder is great and if not for him i would be disabled now i have no doubts. so thank you doc for my way of life back. he is the best ortho.
