Phil completed his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science at Eastern Washington University and graduated from the AT Still University PA program in Mesa, AZ, in 2015. Following his formal education, he underwent post-graduate training at the Core Institute, specializing in orthopedic and spine surgery, where he honed his skills in managing complex musculoskeletal conditions.

…After training, Phil spent two years working full-time in emergency medicine, gaining invaluable experience in acute care. His passion for sports medicine led him to transition to BackFit Health and Spine, where he became the leader of the medical side of the clinic. At BackFit, Phil introduced cutting-edge treatments to patients and played a pivotal role in redesigning therapy protocols, which have since been adopted nationwide across BackFit clinics. In 2020, Phil founded Optimize You, a sports and regenerative medicine clinic, where he combined physical medicine, regenerative therapies, and alternative treatments like ketamine and peptides to achieve groundbreaking results for his patients. Two years later, he launched Arizona Sports Medicine with the mission to continue providing advanced, non-surgical treatment options tailored to athletes and active individuals.

A professional paintball player himself, Phil understands the unique demands of athletes and serves as the primary medical provider for the Seattle Uprising Professional Paintball Team.
