Dr. Phillip Rus Wells

I am 65 years old I have seen my share of doctors and I have never in my life ever walked out of the waiting office of a doctor the most horrible unprofessional front woman with 18-year-old assistant office smells it's old they have had their shots so they don't care about proper air-conditioning One hour in that little airless room that shares air conditioner most likely with the entire building with lots of sick people And the 18-year-old told me she has no idea how much longer I have to wait the doctor is doing a procedure they should've known how to schedule people trust me I wasted several days waiting for an appointment driving there waiting an hour and I left good luck with this place this doctor no pride in keeping proper appointment or keeping the place clean

I don't think he is a good doctor. I know his staff is unprofessional and in total disarray. There's no way when dealing with serious issues like hearing that a patient should feel like the doctor and staff is incompetent. This is the feeling I get when I go to his office. They even scheduled me for an appointment with Dr. Wells when he wasn't even in the building. They told me the appointment had been cancelled but somehow never informed me until I was standing in his office. I live two towns away so it's not like I came from next door to see him. Total disappointment.

This "doctor" will perform unnecessary surgeries on other physicians who refer patients to him. But won't do a necessary procedure for a non-physician patient, for reasons that don't apply to his physician patients.

Terrific bedside skills, knowledgeable, current and generates trust. I have been a patient for several years including a recent surgery.

It appears that there is no communication between Dr Wells and his staff. He orders test and they don’t contact you. Extremely unprofessional office.

Very friendly, made my son feel comfortable and at ease with his gentle bedside manner. Appreciated the quick availability of appointment for my son's ear injury!

Great Doctor, but concerned about the audiologist running unecessary and unwanted tests. I was talked into an unecessary hearing test...which resulted in an unecessary MRI. I don't mind this, but you can't simply say no. They will schedule you faster if you see the audiologist than if you simply want to see Dr. Wells. Seems like there may be something inappropriate going on.

We thought since our mother had cancer we would ask for a referral to Dr. Wells because we had heard from family he was the best. Even though I wasn't quite sure after my mothers experience with him I do not think he had spent and enough care about my mothers cancer. We had an apt for a look and anything noticeable to have a biopsy in my husband throats. Our dentist had recommended we see someone because it looked to be squamous cell. Dr. introduced himself, no smile just a serious look. We had to wait 20 min's in a room before this. He checked and decided to biopsy a different spot and watch the other. When asked what to look for and how often should it be looked at he said that was our decision. When we had a ppo our regular doctors when something something such as cancer we would receive a card or call it might be time to come in. While there we also thought since my husband has bad allergies and we no longer with this HMO can see our regular ear nose and throat dr we had… for over 30 years that we would ask about if we might be referred to someone for allergy testing to help with his problem. Dr. Wells said he wouldn't continue any medicine for allergies from our previous Dr. and he wasn't referring us to an allergist. We had one again with ppo but they don't take monarch hmo. So we wanted to get back on a regiment to help this horrible allergy he has to mold and other chemicals that over the years we had under control with a certain medication. Dr. Wells never said anything else, wasn't helpful at all at that point so I asked then what can we do? His response was "Go get Clariton" then he said I want to see you about the biopsy in a week. His nurse mentioned he"d be on vacation so they changed it to 3 weeks later. We were surprised and asked why a simple phone call if its not anything would be sufficient. We were told we don't do that sort of thing around here. Dr. is too busy to be on the phone. That second visit he spent 2 minutes with my husband said biopsy was fine and keep watching it and kept writing and said ok and walked out of the room. We will not be going back. Very uncaring attitude.

Great doctor. I had an extreme nose bleed and had been into a hospital twice in an effort to stop the bleeding. They were not successful. I went to Dr Wells and within minute of being examined, he ascertained the problem and cauterized a broken blood vessel or vein. He accepted me on the first call. He had a great attitude and was easy to talk with.
