Dr. Phuoc T Vuong

Dr.  Phuoc T. Vuong (can be pronounced "Phu Vong") grew up in Chicago north side.  He attended middle school and high school in Chicago, and graduated from the University of Chicago in 1992, majoring in the Biological Sciences. Supported himself financially during the academic years, he then worked as a biomedical research laboratory technologist for many years and completed his graduate degree at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1998.  He authored 2 articles reporting the results of his studies in a well respected Journal of Cellular Physiology.
Thereafter, in 2002 Dr. Vuong completed the dental degree at one of the top 10 dental schools in the country, the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.  Dr. Vuong also gained additional training at the Togus V.A. Hospital in Maine, where he provided comprehensive dental care to war veterans with different medical conditions and dental needs.  Dr. Vuong chooses dentistry because he loves to work with …people, applies his critical thinking and problem solving skills, along with artistic hand skills to directly and positively help improving patients' lives.
For the past few years, he has resided  in the Fox  Valley metropolitan area to be closer to his family and relatives.  He has been practicing dentistry as an associate in the Chicago metropolitan area after graduation from dental school until starting his practice in Oswego in 2009.
Dr. Vuong is committed to continued education in the latest clinical principles and techniques to offer his patients the best in dental care.  He has taken extensive advanced  hands-on courses in endodontics, oral surgery, and implant restorations, as well as practice modalities for improved patient care and experience.  With his background in research, Dr. Vuong researches a wide range of dental materials and products before he offers them to his patients. 
Dr. Vuong is a member of American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, and Chicago Dental Society.  He is also a member of the Oswego Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Vuong is dedicated to improving patients' oral health and overall well being.  He enjoys working closely with each member of his patients and helping patients understand the importance of preventive care.  For those who need reconstructive treatment, he loves to show patients different dental treatment options.  He certainly believes that a healthy, beautiful smile contributes to a person’s self-esteem, and general health.  Dr. Vuong would be happy to meet with new patients and discuss their questions or concerns prior to treatment.
