Dr. Phyllis Phillips James, MD

Saw her at CCHS Medical Aid. Always go here as everyone has always been nice and always liked the doctors. No this one. Not sure where they got her, but they should get rid of her. Feeling sick from strep that isn't going away from 2 different antibiotics. She looks at my throat and says "oh it doesn't look that bad". Well, it does look bad and I know I still have strep. She says they'll do another strep test but she doesn't expect it to be positive. Well it is still positive. No sympathy, no bedside manner, nothing. Just pure b--ch! If you ever need to go here, call first to see which doctor is there and if she is there, go somewhere else.

Is she still in business? I heard she was sued and had her license revoked. 612 Ferry Cut-Off has been completely demolished. There's nothing there but grass. NOTHING!!

My journey to Glasgow Medical Center. About a week ago, I was sanding down a doorframe with #40D sandpaper. (very rough) I need to clear about 1/8 inch of Pine doorway. After 15 minutes of sanding my hand slipped off of the sandpaper and unto the Pine door. Yes, you guess it, I saw Stars. Pinewood went under my nail onto the left hand side of my index figure. Pain was unbelievable. I let out a mournful yell and choice words. It was so bad, the dog came over to see what was going on. I could see, after the pain stopped, that a splitter got under the nail. The top of the splitter protruded from the index figure nail about 1/8inch. Of course, I got the tweeters out and pulled on the piece of wood that I could grab onto. Because of the angle and depth of the splitter that it went in at, it broke off. I got out the peroxide and gave it a good rinse. Pain, fever and multiple peroxide soakings of the finger follow. After I came out of my “Man Shell” (6 days later), I sought medical advice. My… visit to Glasgow Medical seemed easy enough. 2 people in front of me. (that was my first sign) Blood pressure, body temperature and patient waiting room. As I sit on the patient table in the room, I take in my surroundings. Tongue depressors, bandages in jars, 3% peroxide bottle, aerosol can with strange release valve on top of the can, hypodermic needle disposal plastic box. After 20mins in the patient room, door opens “Hi, I am Doctor Phyllis James”. Looks over the swelled and inflamed figure. Told her DO NOT squeeze the finger. She acknowledges my request. Surface anesthesia, propellant out of the can felt good, like a Mother blowing wind over a wound treated with iodine. Doctor stated, “that’s odd, the can is empty” (Just air coming out of the can) Here is when the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. Doctor stated, “I have another can that is all most empty, let me get it. Doctor returns and sprays about 2 second until that can is empty. Finger does feel better and some numbing has occurred, but very little “numbing” had occurred for what was in store for me. Why didn’t she get a new can? (Waiting to see the billing) Why is this can left out in a general area? Never saw a dentist leave Novocain lying around! She starts to dig under the nail with a 16gauge needlepoint. Then starts to try to tweezers it out. No luck. So called “doctor” said I can’t get it out. I will have to refer you to a surgeon. Then out of the CLEAR BLUE she squeezes the finger with all her might!!!! My whole body lifted off of the table with a couple of choice words. It was the kind of pain that lasted for a 2 minutes. Totally unnecessary and unprofessional after I told her not to do this. (Sadistic?) I will never go back to Glasgow Medieval Medical again. If she walks into the room, I am walking out and refusing her medieval medical services. Be warned! Don’t know where the full cans of Novocain went?????

I Love Dr. P. James Please get her out of there into a new place. Need more like her!

do not go to Phyllis James!! see the case where she was sued by a patient whose child was injured by her lack of care. she practice from a dirty, overcrowed office in New Castle where you would have to wait over and hour to be seen. The trash cans would always be overflowing with trash even early in the morning, her assistants were extremely unprofessional!! It seemed as if she would schedule 3 or 4 appointments at the same time, obviously to make more money, and she didn't have time to spend with each patient because of this. She had a revolving door for other practitioners who start there and get their fill of these conditions and move on to as soon as they could get out of there!! I brought all my issues to the attention of one of these practitioners who could only respond with "yup, those are all the reasons I am leaving here"

Dr. James fullfilled my expectations.

I THINK THAT SHE IS A GREAT DOCTOR, SHE IS VERY CARING, SHE TAKE TIME WITH HER PATIENTS AND EXPLAIN TO YOU WHAT TO DO AND WHAT NOT TO DO.SHE IS THE BEST DOCTOR THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. THANK YOU DR. JAMES

Wait time three hours ..... Never again !Dirty office ... Very rude.. Call office to be hung up on repeatedly . Answering service on after lunch is over for two hours

Greedy and Selfish

If you see the Doctor you are very lucky, didn't see the Doctor after sitting and waiting longer than normal. Charged insurance co. for seeing Doctor, when that did not happen. Nurse was experienced. Billing sucks, didn't send a bill just turn over to a collection agency. What's up with that?? Had to go online to insurance records to get straightened out.Once was enough, learned my lesson, have a new Doctor.
