She received her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College, and then completed her pediatric residency at Northwestern-Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, in 1991. She returned to New England to begin pediatric practice and subsequently relocated with her family to Nashville and joined Pediatric Associates in 1999.
