She practiced in Virginia Beach for two years before moving to her husband’s hometown of Hagerstown, MD where she was in solo practice for nine years. Dr. Sweeney has been happily married for over twenty years and enjoys being mom to a son. When spare time allows, she enjoys making stained glass panels.
Dr. Sweeney has hundreds of hours of continuing education especially in the field of cosmetic dentistry and endodontics (root canals). She is also certified in invisalign. She continues her commitment to advancing her knowledge and skills in the practice of dentistry. She is a past President of the Washington County Dental Society in Maryland, was a co-founder of the Tysons Corner Dental Study Club in Northern Virginia, a member of the American Dental Association, Tidewater Dental Association, and the Virginia Dental Association.
