Dr. Eckhoff was on duty when I went in to the Fort Dodge ER which is part of the Unity Point group. He did not introduce himself coming into the room and did not spend over 3 minutes with me or listened to my issue. He was dressed in a scrub top with no shirt under it and was wearing blue jeans with sandals. He had no hospital ID on and my wife who is an RN was shocked when he snapped at the nurse not to start an IV for fluids and instructed her to discharge me. I have been in law enforcement for 16 years and have had never seen a provider treat a prisoner in custody like he treated me. I filed a complaint with the hospital and they have responded fast. The other visits to this hospital for Urgent Care and ER visits in the past have been excellent. This person should not even be allowed to have the title of Dr. behind his name. Complete and total shock how he is employed with them.
