Dr Asmar is the best fertility doctor. Very knowledgeable and pleasant. I met Dr Asmar 18yrs ago and he assisted with the pregnancy of my 17yrs old boy. I have 3 kids now 17,15 and 13. Thank you Dr Asmar!!!!!!

Best experience! I got my tubes untied. Although pricey but it worked perfectly!!! I got pregnant twice already!!! Thanks Dr Asmer??

Not impressed. I felt rushed during consultation. I expected to see dr asmar's during next visit but I was seen by his nurse who couldn't answer my questions until she talks to Asmar'

I am 52 and my husband and I have had 4 failed IVFs and 1 IUI over the last 14 years. We met Dr. Ashmar and his staff and are now happy to say that we are expecting a baby girl with the help of a donor. The whole process was extremely affordable, the staff excellent, and Dr. Asmar a true blessing!!!! We recommended our friends a couple like us and they are now in their cycle treatment with Dr. Asmar and we expect a great outcome as well. We all love Washington Fertility Center staff and Dr. Ashmar!!!

Dr. Asmar was a very nice man...very calming....very positive and very reassuring....through my 2 IUI cycles and 3 IVFs. He never gave up hope....until my insurance benefits ran out. Then he told me we should consider adoption. Yet he couldn't tell me why the treatments were not working. Scheduling was a nightmare. I would call and Angela had not even called for my insurance approval therefore I was delayed a month or more on almost every cycle. After the last visit where he discussed adoption...I went to Shady Grove for a second opinion. The doctor took one look at my charts and said there was no reason we shouldn't be pregnant. He pulled up SART information and showed me WFC's results. He told me they had a lab issue. We did one cycle with SG and transferred two embryos (which they normally don't due, but did due to our lack of success) and conceived our beautiful twins and froze one embryo! Dr. Asmar is a one man show that does not have the technology and is outdated in… his procedures and protocols. Do not go there! Go straight to Shady Grove!

I am not impressed, and I will not be going back to see Dr. Asmar. I never take any comments whether good or bad seriously until i form my own experience. I agree with other comments about the asian chick is rude, and i am not comfortable paying co-pays to be seen by a nurse. I like to see my doctor and discuss plan with him while I am there in the office, and not wait until the nurse calls me back with what Dr. Asmar thinks or wants me to do.

Went in with unsure expectations for a tubal reversal and have been wonderfully blessed twice now. Dr.Asmar was very informative and his staff have always been kind and helpful.

I wouldn't recommend Asmar. During initial consultation he was very pleasant, went over treatment plan, discussed the price and we shook hands to start! And we surely did, started all diagnostic studies and lab work. The month I was scheduled to start stimulation, I was shocked to find out the IVF cost went from 7500 to 9900. Asmar refused to honor the initial cost, and it's not like I was away and decided to go back and start with him... I left the practice in complete shock...I was crying for the rest of day. Another issue that bothered me is that his clinical coordinator was always rude- well excuse my ignorance I never had IVF tx before so of course I have questions... Lan gets easily ticked off by questions. They never discussed payments with me. I was under the impression I will pay prior to the procedure only to be surprised they mandate full payment prior to sending out prescription. Lan threatened to cancel my cycle if no payment is received when I asked for my prescription to… be ready because I was literally two weeks from stimulation day. It would be nice to let ur patients know regulations and not assume I won't be paying. this was a big disappointment!

Dr. Asmar was my fertility specialist 19 years ago and I now have 18 year old twins. Can't do any better than that!

Dr Asmar shouldn't be practicing. He asked stupid questions about genetic links. For example, after telling him that I have a genetic disorder that my father and my grandmother have, he asks if that's my maternal or paternal grandmother. If my father has the genetic disorder, then how on earth would my maternal grandmother be the one passing it on to him????????? This was just one of the many problems during our visit... Dr Asmar's scary lack of knowledge. The office is a mess and disorganized. Dr Asmar had absolutely no idea who I was when I sat down with him or what I was looking to do, despite prior communication with him directly and with his office. He called the embryologist who works closely with him every day by the completely wrong name. He is older and I wonder about his competency to still be practicing medicine. Dr Asmar wasn't the only problem with our experience. Lan was rude, unhelpful and lied to our faces. Anyway, went somewhere else today and the experiences were… night and day. At the other office the physician took almost an hour to sit down and go over things with me. Dr Asmar spent maybe 4 minutes running over the procedure and then I was sent to his office manager. Please do yourself a favor and look around! This place is a nightmare! Wouldn't trust Dr Asmar to go anywhere near my body!
