Dr Pierre Castera, MD

I found Dr. Castera to be very professional and polite. He answered all my concerns. I would certainly recommend him to my friends and associates.

My visit with Dr. Castera, while not an emergency was urgent and they gave me a work in time for my visit. I prepared to have long wait, but they called me to the exam room almost at the time they told me to be there. The nurses and staff were friendly and helpful while being reassuring in their tone and manner. Dr. Castera was also kind and spent more time with me than I expected being a work in appointment. At no time did I feel rushed or that he was hurrying through the exam. Dr. Castera explained everything to me and reassured me that the diagnosis was normal and I had nothing to worry about I highly recommend this practice and especially Dr. Castera.

I became a patient of Dr. Castera's after a complication from a general surgeon. I had a very negative experience with the previous surgeon and I was really nervous about the second opinion with a specialist. Dr. Castera proved to be a great choice! He handled my surgical issue professionally and thoroughly, and I had a great result. He spent a lot of time explaining the procedures to me and my family. I had an infant daughter at the time of my surgeries and both Dr. Castera and his staff were always considerate with appointment scheduling and welcoming to us. It was easy to schedule appointments. I would say that there can be a wait sometimes--I think the reason for this is because Dr. Castera really takes as much time as needed with each patient and you don't feel rushed through your visit at all. If you are sensitive to wait time, I would encourage you to ask for the earliest appointment in the morning to help minimize this--when we were scheduled for the first appointment, I never… waited more than 5-10 minutes. In general, I think it would be worth waiting for a bit because the attention during the appointment is excellent.

I liked how Dr. Castera was thorough and spent quite a bit of time with me. As far as Follow up, I don't know as I do not have one yet. He seemed to order many tests for me and is thorough in those as well. The only downside to my visit was that I waited three hours to see him after my appointment time

Follow up is lacking.

As it had been a number of years since I had seen Dr. Castera, it was amazing that he remembered circumstances about me from way back then. He is always polite and a gentleman. Very compassionate with the patient. I would recommend him to anyone, AND I have in the past.

Very smooth and helpful visit with Dr. Castera. He answered all questions and gave very good advice on how to proceed. I will be making another appointment soon to follow up.

Dr. Castera is a wonderful,caring Doctor. I have Colitis and went to him 13 years ago. I had another flare a month ago. I was pretty sick. Dr. Castera got me right in for a colonoscopy. I'm on the mend now. He does not mess around. He gets things done. He really cares about his patients. Very happy I was referred to him by my Dr. years ago.

not exactly a comfortable experience. actually not comfortable at all

This was a very comfortable and thorough exam. Not the easiest experience but the Dr and staff made it very comfortable.
