Dr De Matos was all you could expect in a doctor. Very personal, great bedside manner, explained everything I needed to know. Made me feel very comfortable about up comming surgery. Was willing to schedule the surgery when I wanted it. Overall good experience

Disrespectful, rude, condescending, and acts like he’s above you. Doesn’t treat you like a human being.

Dr. DeMatos operated on me for advanced colon cancer in 2013 and then inserted a port one month later for me to begin chemotherapy. He then operated on me again in 2014 for a hernia that developed and inserted mesh. He checked on me daily while I was in the hospital and was always friendly and upbeat as well as informative. I am seeking his help again for another matter as I thought he was above average overall.

Dr Dematos is the reason I am alive today. I was misdiagnosed at the emergency room. Dr. Dematos examined me and determined that I needed emergency surgery for cancer. He had performed 5 surgeries that day but was willing to save my life by operating on me late at night. The surgery was finished around 2 am and he was back in my room the next am around 7. He is a great surgeon with a sense of humor and a caring attitude for his patients.

Dr. Dematos performed a very complex surgery on my mother. She had no complications and he has great follow up. He is always willing to chat with her about her other conditions and make suggestions. On numerous occasions he has spotted her out shopping and always makes a point to ask how she is doing and let her know to give him a call if she needs anything.
