Dr. Pierre Anton Devilliers, MD

Pierre deVilliers, MD, is a Staff Anesthesiologist in the Anesthesiology Institute's Department of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia at Cleveland Clinic. He is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in anesthesiology and by the National Board of Echocardiography in perioperative transesophageal echocardiography. He is also a Fellow of the Faculty of Anesthesiologists of South Africa. Dr. deVilliers's specialty interests focus on cardiothoracic anesthesia. A native of South Africa, Dr. deVilliers received his medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch Faculty of Medicine, followed by a simultaneous four-year residency in anesthesiology at the University of Stellenbosch and the College of Medicine of South Africa. He did an internship in internal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology and a residency in anesthesiology at Tygerberg Hospital in South Africa, where he later served as a Consulting Anesthesiologist.
