Dr. Pierre Yves Musy, MD

While doing yard work, a branch happened to make it's way into my ear drum, and ruptured it. I knew because I immediately could not hear well out of that ear. I saw went to an urgent care, and they verified it was in deed ruptured, and prescribed me ear drops. A few days went by, and my ear started to get VERY painful, and I started getting dizzy. Being the male that I am, I waited a few days to make an appointment until it reached unbearable. I called around, and found Dr. Musy at Florida ENT. When making the appointment, the office staff was very accomodating, was sympathetic to my situation, and they got me in the next day. My wife drove me to the office (I couldn't drive myself because I was so dizzy). When we walked in, the office staff was amazingly friendly. The young lady looked us in the eye when she spoke, and we didn't feel like just another patient. Almost immediately after filling in the new patient paperwork, we were called back. It was literally under 5… minutes. We went back, and they took vitals, and asked about the injury. The assistant left, and a few minutes later, Dr. Musy walked in. He introduced himself, and asked about what happened. I explained, and he listened intently and displayed compassion. He did a quick check of my nose and throat, and eventually came to my left, damaged ear. The whole time, he told me what he was doing, and what to expect. He grabbed a sucker thing (not the official word of the tool), and he pulled liquid from in front of the ear drum, and confirmed the rupture. Let me tell you about this doctor. He has an MD, and a PhD, so he knows his stuff. He didn't take the time to build repoire, but you know what, I was glad becuase all I wanted was relief, not to know about his wife and kids. He is a straight shooter, and told me exactly how I needed to treat my ear drum to get rid of the pain and dizziness. He prescribed Amox and generic dramamine, and asked that I take Advil for the pain (didn't need / want opioids). Would I recommend this doctor? Heck yeah! It's a few days later, and I already feel great! I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Musy and the staff at Florida ENT.
