Dr. Pierre Andre Scales, MD

Dr. Scales laughed at my wishes regarding delivery, bullied me into an unnecessary induction I didn't want, and I ended up with stalled labor and an emergency c section. The best part? When the anesthesia was wearing off, I had to get the anesthesiologist to make him stop stitching because "he was almost finished anyway:", even though I could feel EVERYTHING. Find ANYONE else.

Showed up for my appointment at 1:15, which was 15 minutes before my scheduled 1:30 appointment as requested to fill out paperwork. Prior to this appointment, I was called every night with an automated appointment reminder.. ok, no big deal. Also on the day of my appointment I was called twice with more reminders... no big deal, but what really angered me was, after I arrived, the staff advised me they would let me know once the doctor arrived.. I was told the doctor was out to lunch, and was assured he would arrive soon. I waited for 1 hour freezing my butt off while sitting on the examination table wrapped in a thin paper garment. RIDICOULOUS! I finally had enough and left the office. Will never go back again. My time is just as important as the doctors. That is why appointments are made!

My husband and I are still in shock at how condescending, rude and obnoxious this doctor was to us. It was my first visit, which I had to wait almost 3 months for. First, we had to wait an hour and a half while he did 2 procedures before he could see me. (Why in the world would they schedule me to come in at 2:00 PM when he had 2 procedures that he had to do first?) He walked into the room with a horrible attitude toward us that just got worse as the visit progressed. I finally couldn't take any more and had to end the appointment without any resolution for my problem. We spoke with a supervisor after the visit to lodge a complaint. She was very apologetic and tried to help facilitate getting me in to see another doctor as quickly as possible. My husband and I are still racking our brains trying to figure out what we could have done to set this doctor off and warrant this type of behavior. Our advice... don't waste your time seeing this doctor.
