One of the worst doctors I have come across in my life time.Poor diagnosis and bad attitude

I was sent to Dr. Patel through Medicare. I was given a heart monitor, referred to a cardiologist and was abrupt and rude to me, as were his PA's.

I agree with the earlier reviewer. Even though Dr.Patel is a great doctor, he is not very accessible. You have to wait for a month or more to see Dr.Patel, even if you are an established patient. When I had an emergency, I was not able to see the doctor, and had to see the nurse practitioner. I feel that an emergency is when primary care doctor should be available to the patient. So now I am looking for other doctors who are readily accessible. The stars are not for Dr.Patel, he is great, the stars are based on my experience with entire practice.

I didn't have a good experience with this doctor. I should almost say "nurse" because when you go there you end up seeing a nurse practitioner 90% of the time who doesn't have the knowledge of the doctor. I was misdiagnosed when I had a severe intestinal infection by this nurse. If I had a correct diagnosis the first time then maybe I wouldn't have to suffer for a whole month.

I would highly recommend Dr. Pinkal Patel if you are seeking a primary care physician in the Oviedo area. I take my whole family to him--including my 7 and 5 year-olds. He is a doctor to cares about his patients and his staff is wonderful.
