Dr. Po W. Wang, MD

Dr. Wang is an expert and very calm and accessible. He is outstanding on work with schizoaffectivedisorders.

He and his staff care about anyone who pay out of pocket not someone with insurance.

I side with those who have had a good experience with Dr. Wang. I have been seeing him for 3 year and he got me off of Depakote which was causing weight gain and onto Geodon which has helped me lose all that weight. He worked closely with me to titrate my dose to get it just right and only 100 mg per day. I had a lot of side effects when I started Geodon but he helped me work through them and eliminate most of them. His students seem to like working with him too. I have a demanding sales job and I could not handle this type of work as a person with Bipolar disorderif it wasn't for the help of Dr. Wang.

I can't understand someone giving Dr. Wang a poor review. I drive almost 1 1/2 hours for my appointment to see Dr. Wang. Every mile and minute is worth it for me. I have had many doctors over the years and none of them have been able to give me my life back. With Doctor Wangs knowledge in mixing different medications together he has been able to devised a great mix for me. He has made it possible for me to be well enough again to do the things I enjoy, To go exercising, play my vioin, enjoy my family and have fun with friends. It has been over 8 years now since I have had any highs or any of the devastating, sucidal type lows. Being bipolar,everything seemed so hopeless before I started seeing Dr. Wang.

There are plenty of doctors in this man's field in the area. Don't choose this one. Cold, calculating, malicious charlatans like this doctor shame the profession. This is a man far more concerned with the interests of his research agenda than the well being of his patients.

All I can say is that this dr. diagnosed me as bipolar while other dr. did not. I would assume that he presses the diagnosis based on his education. However it is frightening to see that the diagnosis of bipolar has increased by 400% in the last 5 years because of drs. like Po Wang handing out the diagnosis like "hot-cakes"... To keep their practice full of clients and make money!

he over medicates four times over the maximum therapuetic ranges found in the DSM IV. In my case it was 300mg of geodon while other dr would use only 80mg. exagerates the severity of the state of mania that I was in... Is somewhat of a nuerotic himself and would try to control matters by suggesting that I talked fast when I have always talked fast.
